Mark is top shelf, Rocco the same, my wife and daughter only come here now for cut/color

The stylist colored my hair too dark, didn't cut it shorter on top cuz she thought it looked fine. I called to complain, Rocco said would be fixed NO CHARGE...got there...salon staff said color looked blonde to them...said anyother color they add will only make my hair DARKER.....was overcharged initially, then they wanted to either WASH the color out of my hair, scrub the color out or pay $125 for a head of highlights. GUESS WHAT, I stopped at a beauty supply store, bought 1 bottle of color that I used in previous years, 40 volume & MY HAIR IS BLOND...THE BLOND I WALKED INTO THE SALON WITH, NOT some brown color. WTF

Came in and went with the man who owns the place, told him specially don't take a lot off and not to touch the back, he cut my hair down to a buzzcut. Truly could not of done worse then he did.

What a great place! The staff are so friendly! Clean, well organized and Rocco is very nice. Mark cuts my hair and does a tremendous job! The hours and location can't be beat.

Summary: Nice, clean hair salon. Friendly staff and hairdressers. Comfy chairs. Good cuts. Even though I wasn't happy with the outcome of my hair, they were understanding and didn't charge me full price. That was a big deal for me because they could have very well charged me full price since so much time and product was spent on my hair, attempting to get the outcome that I wanted. I went to Rocco's looking to color my hair a pastel purple (see photo). I have black Asian hair. My hairdresser went through the process of bleach, wash, dye, and wash and the purple did not show through at all. Even when blow dried, we could barely see the purple, like it was a hint of dark purple against my hair. It was frustrating to see and I was disappointed but was open to what my hairdresser would try next to bring the purple out to lighten it. She asked her colleague for advice in the back room and came back suggesting to apply toner to my hair, cook for a little and see what that would do. Well... She had to apply toner twice and even then it was still hard to see the purple after it was blown out. It actually looked more dark reddish purple. I was pretty disappointed and devastated seeing those results after 4 hours. But I will say my hairdresser was genuinely apologetic and asked for me to come back in a few weeks hoping the color will wash out and then she can redye it. She only charged me for the cut, wash, and products used which I was going to ask for anyway. I still tipped her generously because I know she tried. So aside from highlights, this was the first time I actually went to dye my hair and I'm disappointed that this was the outcome. The color of my hair looks nice but it wasn't what I was looking for at all. I'm sure they do a good job dying hair in general but it was not my experience.
