Rubie's Paradise Salon in Lansing, MI

I have gone to Rubie's twice and per reviews, I went with Rizza. She's really a sweet heart but this last time, I left with a less than satisfactory cut. I've been trying to grow my hair out and I've gone to her twice for a "shape up". This second time, she was using thinning shears to take some of the bulk out of my hair when I heard her gasp (the last thing you want to hear your stylist do with scissors in her hand). She immediately said she had accidentally used the wrong shears and I saw a very large chunk of hair in the shears she had in her hand. She then assured me that it was fine and moved on, working on the back of my hair. At the end of the cut, she showed me the front but did not offer to show me the back (for reasons I now know). She charged me the normal price of $30, which is not bad for a cut. When I returned home, and had a chance to look at the back, not only was the length much shorter than I'd asked for, but there's a nice sized chunk of hair missing from the back right section of my hair. I am not upset because of her mistake, things happen and no one is perfect. I am mostly frustrated because she was not honest with me. I would have truly appreciated her saying that she had made a mistake, explaining to me how she was going to fix it, and then not charging me for the cut.

I found this salon on Groupon and got a cut, color, and highlight for only $60!! Fantastic pricing and I got a beautiful hair cut. As you can see my hair was in terrible condition before. I showed Rizza a few pictures of what I wanted and unlike most hairdressers I actually got what I asked for. I'm so happy I found this gem and I 100% recommend trying her out!

Not for curly hair. Liz cut off all my ringlets and cut it too short to do anything more to fix it. I don't have time to cry and style, cry and style every day like I had to do this morning. Maybe she's good with other kinds of hair, but keep your curls away!

Love this salon! For getting my hair done about once a year and am very particular and Liz does an amazing job every time. I have never left unhappy and she makes the whole experience and quality of work worth every penny! I have been coming for about two-three years and always get compliments on my hair coloring from others no matter if I'm at the store or sitting in my lecture hall. Great place, quality of product, atmosphere, and employees.

About 1 1/2 years ago, I made an appointment at Ruby's Paradise Salon. This was a good decision, as I found the staff to be very knowledgeable, professional, and customer service oriented. The stylist are exceptional with color and cuts.
