Braids in for almost two weeks and they started falling out the frist day ...I have never had my hair braided but this is crazy ...then I call them to see what they can do to fix it and she say come on then change her mind and say for fifty dollars ...I'm so not happy at all but no more business from me or others that I know .... 45 min drive 225.00 Freakin down the dame drain

You have to be a special kind of person to get your hair braided in the first place. African Hair Braiding is one of a couple of spots around town that does zillions (mass quantities of itty bitty braids) among other things. The nice thing is that you can go to AHB as a walk in if you're getting something simple done like cornrows, but if you have hair like mine, you better make an appointment. They are quick, relatively speaking, and you can usually get more than one braider to work on your hair at a time. It still took me three braiders and 8 hours to get my zillions, but then I have a lion's mane sitting on top of my head anyway. Make sure you bring water, snacks, and something to hold your attention as most of the braiders are Senegalese and if you don't speak French, you can pretty much count yourself out of the conversation. The cons - they can be a little aloof, and they only accept cash upfront, which is kind of annoying; considering that I don't carry around $200 in cash ever - and that's what it's gonna cost you for the zillions. Make a consultation appointment first if you have questions about the process or if you think they need to be forewarned about your hair.
