'I travel a lot, and spend a fair amount of time in salons outside of Philadelphia, where I live. When Maddy Wright, colorist and stylist at Roots Salon, did low lights on my already blonde hair, she did an OUTSTANDING job! She toned down the blonde, added dimension, and gave me a softer blend with true depth and character Maddy is a professional and as importantly, is an artist who knows how to achieve beautiful, soft, artistic results. Maddy has my highest recommenda-tion and a very big thank you for her great work......I only wish Maddy were in Philadelphia!!!!" Debra M

After a 30 min wait ( I was a new client) for the stylist to finish with his chit chatty client, he never popped out to welcome me or say he'd be right with me...I should've walked out. It went downhill from there. I showed him a photo of the style I was trying to grow into, from a previous bad cut...he said "I'm not a miracle worker", then proceeded to tell me the color formula I gave him from my out of town stylist , he said no one uses that brand of color (Kuene).... Again I should've left... He colored my roots ( left it much darker) and gave me a pretty bad haircut.... I would definitely not recommend this salon or the stylist (Rick)! Save yourself the $$ and the insults.

Maddy is incredible! I'm new to the area and looking for a good stylist. My hair has been ruined before, so I definitely have trust issues. Maddy did my highlights, and they came out beautifully! So glad I've found my new stylist.

I am a fulltime rv'er who relies on recommendations for hair appts, nails, massages. Roots salon was one of those referrals that was right on. Walked in and Kate greeted me, she was very friendly. Rick was my stylist, specializes in pixie cut. He spent alot of time, cutting and explaining what he was doing. I can honestly say that he is the best stylist i have had. I love my cut. I've been in this area for 7 years and I finally found my soul mate. Nikki knew exactly what I wanted. She is absolutely amazing and I'm not just saying that cause she bought me a piece of pizza. Thank you Nikki for the amazing job on my hair. This is the first time in years that I don't want to keep it in a bun. I can't thank you enough. I'll see you in a few months for a touch up and trim. BTW the environment is also beautiful and welcoming. I highly suggest giving Got Roots on Central Ave a shot.
