Romy's Beauty Salon in Meriden, CT

Romy is a very kind friendly person who tries very much to make sure everyone is pleased with her services. As most of us born her of Latinos parents she @spanglish" sometimes I guess people with self esteem issues are paranoid enough to believe she's speaking about them... but I've been coming to her salon for years and she is not like that at all! Her prices are WAY under what most salons are charging!!! I hate when people uses language to bash other ppl I don't see anyone complaining when you go do your nails and the Asians are speaking in their language and laughing etc! Romy is a professional with a very clean welcoming environment!

The owner of the salon, Romy is very rude. She makes nasty comments about her clients. She listens to people's conversations and then states her own unwelcome opinions. She is nosy and needs to mind her own business and focus on doing people's hair,not other people's business. I had a bad experience in her salon due to her condescending ways. I was offended by her behavior. I don't recommend this salon. People get criticized in spanish in this salon.

The owner is very condescending and talks bad about her clients in Spanish! To the point that it's very embarrassing for other people who do understand what's she's saying. So they won't understand. She left a lady with wet hair sit and wait for her for 1 hour while she dropped her kids off somewhere. The salon is run down and not clean at all. The other lady who does hair (not Romy the owner) is actually very nice, and does relatively good blow outs but not good enough for me to come back. Go to New Haven and get a decent treatment.

I have been here many times and have gotten great service every time. I have coarse natural 4c hair and get the nicest shiniest straightest blow outs with minimal damage. I would highly highly recommend!

Romy is the owner of a wonderful Dominican salon. I have visited this salon many times throughout the last 10 years and am always treated with kindness, I never have to wait extremely long and the prices are very reasonable. For a wash, set and blowout, I recently paid about $27. I think it's about $5 more or so if you'd like a deep condition treatment. The last time I went was on a Monday night and I was in and out in a little over an hour. I also have curly, coily, natural African American hair and they are able to wash, detangle, set and blow out my hair with ease. My hair stays straight until I'm ready to wash and restyle.
