RC Nails in Rochester, MN

I had a bad experience at a different nail salon in Rochester so I was skeptical. My sister said she liked going to this salon so I tried it out. I walked in with no appointment and was greeted right away. I didn't have to wait, someone was available. I got a dip manicure (first one) because I wanted to try something different other than gel. The lady was so nice and friendly. Prices were reasonable and not too high. She did a good job and they turned out so good. I can't wait to go back!

I have gone to RC nails before and had Jenny do my nails. She did a great job and I was very happy with the results. This time I had a different tech and she did a poor job. She didn't get close to the edges or sides of my nails so it looks like they are growing out. Some of the tips have the polish on too thick. Not pleased with the results . Will not go back unless I can get an appointment with Jenny. Just wasted $30 on a gel manicure that looks like it is ready to be redone.

Well let me explain why I'm giving one star. So Thursday 9/23 I call to ask when the stores least busy hours are for myself and my autistic brother. It can be hard for him to handle if there are too many people. The woman on the phone told me they do not do walk ins so I would have to make an appointment. I made an appointment for Friday 9/24 (one day later), she said they had no one coming in at noon and that it is always a slow time. I told her that there may be a chance I would have to cancel if my brother was having troubles the day of and asked if that it was still okay that I'm booking an appointment. She said that it was not a problem. Well today Friday comes and my brother is doing fine but we had been both exposed to Covid and did not realize it until the morning of Friday. I call and tell them right when I found out which was a little before 10:30 that I need to cancel my appointment. To which the woman replied, "Thanks for cancelling last minute" in a rude tone. Then she goes on to say, "Do you want to cancel both pedicures?". I said yes and tried to explain that my brother and I were exposed to Covid when she interrupts me mid sentence and says, "Yeah fine whatever" and hangs up on me. I hate giving bad reviews (this is my first ever negative review on yelp) but this was not okay. Obviously they do not take Covid seriously enough in this nail salon.

Called to see if they could fit me in for a gel manicure within 30 min of me calling and they did. I was greeted by Alyssa and she did my nails. She was professional and took her time. And the great thing was that she didn't talk my head off. That's one thing I don't like when I get my nails or feet done, I like to relax and don't want to have to worry about what to talk about. I found my nail spot! I will be back

I came here for an acrylic set, and the nail artist took a ridiculous amount of time just to size each tip to my nails. She didn't do a good job shaping the nails, some are longer, and my nails are not all the same shape. She also left a glob on my nail, didn't try very hard to fix it, and just kept putting clear polish over it. I got dip powder done, which can take a little longer, but another artist finished 2 clients and started on a third by the time my artist starting finishing up on me. They also advertise they welcome walk-ins, but seem somewhat perturbed when you don't have an appointment. Overall, not the best experience and I'm not super happy with how my nails look.
