Queen aisha African hair braiding in Baltimore, MD

I have been getting my hair braided here for several months now, and every single time my braids are perfect, and beautiful. They can do any style just by looking at a picture or description. The stylist are very professional and I might add fast. Love this salon.

I have been to this establishment many times. It's unfortunate that my last and worst was with the owner. She was 45 minutes late (not 5 as she stated after multiple texts and calls) for the appointment and I had to wait in my car. Aisha had a terrible attitude and was defensive about any inquiry I had regarding my hair such as part size, not cutting my real hair when she cleaned up the braids (which she still did), and color. Previous appointments I had were with her sister (who is a much better braider; fast, not tight, and she didn't have to put a million braids in my head to achieve my request of how I wanted the hair to fall) but there was a miscommunication when making the appointment. Reluctantly, I allowed for Aisha to do my hair as she boasted "I'm the owner, I trained the other stylists" thinking she'd be able to pull it off and I also didn't want to take more time off work to accommodate another appointment. At the end, she could see that I was not excited when I looked at the finished product. She asked me if I liked it, I said no. She actually held a scissor to my head threatening to cut them out. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a salon.

I like the fact that she listened to my concerns and tried her best to accommodate. The only thing I didn't like that she only discounted me 20 dollars after buying by own hair. Knowing I bout 3 packs of hair at 23 dollars each. All in all she has restored my faith in African hair braiding. Thanks Queen!

So happy I chose Queen Aisha Braiding even though there were no reviews to go off of. Based solely on pictures, a couple reviews on Google and going through her instagram page, I chose wisely! I arrived a couple minutes late but Mareme did not mind. As soon as I was seated and she was ready to go, she got started. It took roughly two hours for about 12 braids and cost $120. It's 10 per braid or $120 if you get a style with more than 10 braids. I would definitely recommend her to anyone thinking about going to Queen Aisha.
