Q Tan McDonough in McDonough, GA

So I called to get prices as Im new to the area. I had every intention of going to sign up, as it's so close to my house. Actually, I never even considered another place. I simply wanted to know the packages and prices. I've lived in 6 states and as you can imagine, it's different everywhere. Some places have memberships, while others do not. Etc. Etc. Well....NO GO! Apparently, they are SO WORRIED about their "competitors" that they will not tell you this "over the phone". However, their website does tell you to call! They should be confident in their pricing structure and run their business. Not be worrying about their competitors. Shady business practice. It's a tanning salon, not a government agency requiring high-level security clearances. Poor business strategy placing your focus on what you DON'T want your competition knowing, instead of ensuring your clientele does.

I called to get pricing as the website stated and the lady who wanted me to know she was the general manager of a tanning salon lol advised they couldn't give pricing over the telephone and when I politely questioned that, she ask me, the potential client, my name I thought so she could call me back with the information but She didnt want my number so I guess she was going to report me for her having poor customer service skills. Business owners please know who you're hiring to represent your company. If she was the owner, bless her heart. She was ridiculously awful.

Loved tanning at this place for a few years until this year. I paid for the extreme tanning package and they NEVER have ALL three beds up and running at one time, most times there's ONLY one extreme bed working because if you use bed 8 the bed will shut off halfway through your session and if you use bed 5 it will shut the other beds down and you won't be able to use any of them or so I was told. I'm also asked A LOT to drop down to a level 4 bed, NO, when I've paid for an extreme package and I'm told that I CANNOT receive a refund, NO, I'll just continue to wait. I had a talk with the General Mgr about the issues and was told if I'd just drive 15 minutes further to the Locust Grove store then there shouldn't be any problems, you can get in and out. Then I was told if I can just be patient for another two weeks then the McDonough location will die down and not be so busy. Well, see there IS a problem, I shouldn't have to drive an extra 15 minutes to go to another town to tan. When asked if I could get a refund on my remaining 2 months, I was told they don't give refunds. I even mentioned how incredibly hot the McDonough location is. You walk into that location and you can barely breathe. I feel really sorry for the staff that works there. I hope they're getting paid well to work in such extreme conditions. THIS June my membership is up and I will DEFINITELY go elsewhere for my tanning needs. A-Tan as definitely went downhill FAST!!!!!
