Plum Nail & Spa in Rochester, NY

This is my second time going to this place. The first time someone made my finger nails bleed, the owner or manageri guess. She was doing powder nails. But pedicure that was done by Lina was wonderful so, I let it slide. Second time past 2 weeks ago, I got deep powder, it was horrible, there's a new guy now working and he did do my nails he rushed them, they did not even last for 2 weeks, the nails were falling off. Also the pedicure was horrible, I paid for $50 and a person who was doing massage was just literally touching my feet, not massaging. I love this place but the service has started to become bad.

Was done with business in Rochester notice the nails far right near my clients thought I take a break with my one of my colleagues That came with me. Stop then it was quick and easy to get a regular pedicure Before heading home. Both technicians were good with the usual flip flops that are throwaways. Little did I know they were gonna remove them and put saran wraparound my toes and my colleagues. I told him it was going to mess up the nails he Said no it's dry. Of course when I got to my destination to go into a restaurant the polish was stuck to the strange wrap and the pedidestroyed. They couldn't charged an extra $2 for the flip flop that's worthless and used? Yuck. They lost me as a potential client coming back when I'm in Rochester. And I have to go back to my regular guy to get my polish changed. Thanks for nothing. Cost me 80 bucks and it's going cost me more.

Worst experience of my life. I got a French gel manicure today and it looks horrendous. I have cuts on every single one of my fingers and they are all bleeding and then she decides to put nail polish remover on a cotton ball and put it on the cuts "to make them stop bleeding" and it burned so bad. There was streaks and bumps and lady told me it looked fine and i continued to fight with her that its not and she did nothing to fix it. The white line is crooked, streaky, and gross. The best part is as shes drilling my old polish off it is flying everywhere and right into my mouth.... lovely right.. $38 for absolutely nothing. I'm mortified to walk around with such a disgusting manicure.. do not go here

I was really pleasantly surprised by my first visit, on Friday afternoon, and hope to return soon. I walked right in. The staff really went above and beyond to provide good service and added in some complimentary services that I've never had before. All for a price that I would consider to be low.. $25 for a gel mani! They gave everyone a complimentary shoulder massage while their nails dried, as they were sitting in the chairs. The tech I had was great at shoulder massage. It was so relaxing. I literally couldn't keep my eyes open and found myself wishing I could come back just for that. If it had lasted 5 more minutes, I think I would have fallen asleep, it was so relaxing. Also they gave you a paraffin wax dip and a hot towel treatment, and a bottle of water without you having to ask which I always feel bad about. Their new furniture was comfortable and stylish with lux chairs and couches and tables with dryers built right in. I thought this was really cool because it made the desks look cleaner but also gave you more space, if you have bigger hands. The interior made up for the fact that salon doesn't look very fancy from the outside, since it is in the middle of an old city plaza. You can tell that the building itself is old, but they really tried to brighten up the interior with cute decorations. I liked how they organized the polish colors. They even put little pebbles in the soaking bowls to rest your fingertips on, which made that more comfortable. I've been to a few salons recently and this one really stood out for making you feel pampered and their attention to detail. I would say that my particular tech was not super bubbly, but she was skilled and thorough and I liked that. After a long week, this was just what I needed.
