Jolie Salon and Spa in Rochester, NY

This salon truly has it all. It's boasts a prime location with lots of parking in Brighton, which is just the beginning of what makes this place appealing! The atmosphere is a combination of zen and chic that oozes both confidence and relaxation. It's a full service spa that provides not just a service, but an experience. From nails to hair, makeup and facials, massage and waxing, this salon does it all! Michelle is my stylist and I can't say enough about her! Her knowledge and experience, combined with a great sense of style and beauty make her the ultimate professional. She listens, advises and executes flawless highlights and cuts and tailors her vision to her customer's expectations. She's also a sweetheart with a lovely personality, as is everyone I met there! I'd definitely recommend this salon. I've lived in brighton for over 40 years and have yet to find one better!

I have been getting services (hair, nails, massage, etc...) for 20 years now across Eastern Rochester. This. Is. The. Spot. You can schedule in advance and be squeezed in day of. Ample parking, great location, easy to find, friendly greeting upon arrival and very, very clean. Michelle is my stylist and this is by far the best salon she has worked with. I have a lifetime of hospitality service under my belt and she hits the mark with comfort, style and grace. We discuss my wants upon arrival over a freshly made cup of coffee, time frame and pricing are thoroughly discussed and I leave feeling beautifully satisfied. I will be a client for life.

This is still not over somehow. The salon owner has contacted me stating she is pursuing legal action because she is not represented by the independent contractors that rent the chairs. Michelle texted me this long thing saying I was blackmailing her (don't think she understands what blackmail is) and the cops have contacted us, I don't even know what the charge could possibly be, unless they have created a new law I didn't know about before. Just stating that I stand by my experience of this salon having creepy vibes and that the hairdresser showed up late and tried to take as much of my money as possible and then tried to get it back when I got it refunded correctly the first time. Lol. Please refund me for the haircut and I'll take this down, I'll say a prayer in Jolie's name, anything, don't care. please just release me from this loop. I want to forget I ever went here. -- One more update as the salon hs threatened us with legal action because of a yelp review... I am happy to amend this review if I felt like the salon wanted to refund me for the charges I did not consent to. But really threatening legal action over a bad yelp review seems a bit extreme to me. I really am pursuing a partial refund for services I was charged for unknowingly and the tip. When I asked for a refund on those charges she offered to give me a bottle of shampoo. I am not even requesting a full refund. I feel that is more than fair and the stress that this has caused is just crazy. Again, I am happy to take it all down if we could just get the refund and then i will never come back and bother anyone again. But please refund me for the things I did not ask for, hair shimmer, balayage when it was really highlights, the additional add ins, and the tip. Leaving 200 for the hairdresser. Please I'd like this to be over. I will just delete the whole thing I don't even care. I still like the color. - Just updating because dealing with getting the charges reversed for the services I didn't request has been hell.... the bangs are looking good since I had another girl cut them. Color has held up alright. I'd go to a girl besides Michelle if I went back here, but seems kinda sketchy they can just add on hundreds of dollars without asking. I appreciate the owner reaching out but what would really help would be asking Michelle to inform clients ahead of time when adding in services and products and also to arrive on time

Salon Jolie is the most incredible salon I have ever gone to get me hair styled. Not only am I given a world class hair style every time go but the atmosphere created by every person who works there makes me feel like I am visiting the warm home of a very close friend. The facility itself is spacious and impeccably decorated .. the minute you walk in you realize you have stepped into a special place that you will be going back to over and over again. I highly recommend Salon Jolie to anyone considering trying a new salon and Spa in the Rochester NY area

I'll start by saying that I liked how my hair came out when I got it done (balayage and haircut, $185+$30tip). Second, the color that I wanted required 3 sessions total (black to pink balayage) therefore $435 total not including tips or the $45 haircut. So after about 4 weeks later I had my next appointment for another balayage but because I got my Covid-19 vaccine the day before I was feeling under the weather which I did not prepare for since I'm healthy and the first vaccine I received I didn't get sick. I called about an hour before (I woke up feeling sick and I wasn't sure if I would feel better, my appointment was at noon) and when I let them know I wasn't going to be able to make it they said that if I wanted to reschedule I had to pay a $100 cancellation fee!! $100!! Can you believe my irritation! First off, on their website it says if you cancel within 24hrs due to an illness an exception of the $25 cancellation fee can be made, so why was I being charged 4x that amount!? It was so upsetting because I would of even understood paying the $25 cancellation fee for being sick but the fact that they tried to charge me $100 was just ridiculous. I would hate for someone else to experience the same thing I did, have plans and invest money in this salon for 2+ sessions just to have to change their plans completely because this salon is not following their own policies and overcharging. My business would of been at least $505 not including tips for the other two balayage sessions, they lost out because of this and I had to figure out a new plan for my hair. Disappointing.
