Absolute NIGHTMARE with this lady Sharyn Beer. If you book with her, expect her to ask you to LEAVE because she DOES NOT FEEL LIKE A FIT. The apparent reason she didn't "feel like a fit" was because she was giving me FEEDBACK on taking care of my hair in which I responded "let's just proceed with the hair cut". I'm here to get service, not getting lectured on how I take care of my hair. From her behavior of asking me to leave and the words "not a fit", I highly suspect Sharyn Beer is a RACIST. She needs to apologize or fired immediately if Plaza Salon wants to maintain its reputation.

So happy I was recommended to Jasmine, she did a great job taking me back to my natural roots.

My appointment was canceled after being 10 minutes late. Every place has a 15 minutes courtesy waiting time so this was a bit extreme given that the stylist had also mentioned that she would be with another client at the time of my appointment.

Jasmine is my hair stylist and she does an amazing job! I have deceptively thick hair and have often had haircuts that look horrible. Never from Jasmine. She is so nice and personable and makes the time pass so well. In addition the salon is such a relaxing place to be and just feels so chill. They do a lot to make you feel comfortable in a COVID-19 world and still maintain the chill factor. Back to Jasmine, she is sweet and nice, but who cares about that?! She can cut hair. I moved and will still drive 1 hour each way just to have her handle my hair. She cuts it well and always remembers all my hair needs/requirements. If you have weird, wavy, thick, crazy hair - Jasmine is your girl!

Well, unfortunately I cannot recommend Jasmine Dooley as the best choice for colorist in case you have thin Slavic dark hair and plan to have ombré or balayage. I had 3 sessions with this stylist: first one was split into two, and the second was also split into two, but after the results I saw, I decided that my hair and the techniques Jasmine used to my hair didn't click at all. First time I asked for ombré, but after 2 sessions it was still not what I wanted, though Miss Dooley insisted it was impossible to get to the blonde level I wanted within one session, though my previous stylist always managed to do so. Okay, I thought, maybe with years my hair somehow changed and now it is impossible. Then my requirement was NOT to make any warm tones on me, since I have a natural tendency of my skin to be a bit red, and the warmer hair color the redder is my face, which is a big no-no. Unfortunately, the stylist colored my hair exactly into warm tones, and when I was on vacation a week after service provided, under the sun I saw that my hair was purely red, not cold dark brown as I asked. I lived with that red color for a while, but then when I realized that I refuse to make pictures just because of my hair color, I decided to get another hairstyling session, and I regret I chose the same hairstylist (hoping she'd manage to bring me to the desired, as she said that next time it would be better.) After my next appointment I came back hom in tears, because though I showed what I wanted, and the stylist saw the picture thoroughly, she had no courage to admit she couldn't do it. So, she bleached my hair for 4(!!!) times within one session and added "accents" totally illogic without asking me at all. My hair turned yellow. A dirty and cheap yellow. For 20 years I color my hair never have I returned home in tears. The stylist offered her apologies for not making me happy, and I requested for a refund. I suggested 70% to be refunded, as I assumed it was logical to pay 30% for materials used, but the stylist agreed to refund only 50%, and of course no tips back either. This was my biggest disappointment I ever had with hairstyling. The pictures of the "results" of the last session are attached.
