Absolutely love this place!
I moved an hr from the only tanning salon I had ever gone to an was pretty bummed about it. I happen to drive by Northern Tropics on my way to the store an saw the sign. I was shocked!  After a few days I sent a message through FB an told my story. I had a response within 1/2 hr..  Encouraging me to stop in an have a look around.. I did just that. I went in an met Lisa (the owner) had a tour an purchased a month of tanning. That was almost 5 years ago!

The people are just great, the beds are extremely clean and available at almost anytime.  I've gone at various times and there is always something available for me.  I've never had such great service as here.  I'm so glad I found it.

Stay Away from this business! My girlfriend has been going to this place for a couple months now we have spent hundreds of dollars. Recently she went in to make a purchase and the owner of the business Lisa supposedly accidentally charged our debit card for over $700 for a purchase that should've been $73. She then claimed that she called her merchant account to cancel the transaction. She Then stated that the money should be refunded on Monday bear in mind this happened on a Saturday. It wiped out our entire account which has caused checks to bounce and for us not to be able to enjoy the weekend and see my children as I didn't have money for gas to go pick them up. We went in on Sunday because she said she would give us a free session and she said hopefully by Monday the money would be refunded. I personally have had a merchant account before and I've had this issue happened where An honest mistake had happened and the funds were immediately put back to the account. Today Monday I contacted my financial institution who states that there was never a refund issued. I contacted Lisa to express my disapproval and on dissatisfaction. She said she was gonna Call her merchant account and I reminded her that she told us that she had already done such. So obviously she never called. What's ironic about it is when the transaction happen she made a comment to my girlfriend stating you're always so stylish noting her coach wallet. Another ironic thing was on Sunday when we went in I was sitting in the car and two gentlemen pulled up and got out of the car very angrily. I expected and was concerned that maybe there Was an argument going on with my girlfriend and Lisa but then my girlfriend came out. My girlfriend says that when the gentleman came in she said I'll be right with you guys after my girlfriend said listen you wiped out our entire account. It's my assumption that it's probably somebody else that she did this to you or potentially a bill collector that she owes money to. She drives a Range Rover and obviously lives beyond her means and felt it necessary to use my money for the weekend. Maybe her business is suffering I'm not sure but the way she handled it and spoke with me it was like it was no big deal. She hung up on me after I expressed my anger. I am filing a police report I am also filing a report with the Better Business Bureau and my suggestion to all potential new customers is to take this review as gospel because it's facts and this woman stole my money. She's a horrible person and a very lousy business person. My suggestion go to a different tanning salon unless you want your entire bank account wiped out and to be ripped off. Stay away !!!!!

Great experience here.  Laura, the manager, is super knowledgeable and friendly.  They don't try to sell, sell, sell, but the selection is great if you do want to buy their lotions.  I never once made an appointment and only ever had to wait one time and it was for less than two minutes.  I did the regular tanning beds but am going to take the plunge and try a spray tan soon.
