Nails Art in Salinas, CA

I wish I had the option for a NO star rating. I called in advanced to make an appointment with the owner (Tammi) who scheduled me & confirmed my appointment. I arrive at the salon only to be notified by Johnny (employee) that Tammi forgot about my appointment and left home early. My appointment was scheduled at 5:30PM which means I had to leave work early to make it on time during peek traffic time. Total waste of MY time. I call Tammi the following day and she pretends she has no idea what I'm talking about. She then says she had me scheduled with someone else which is a total lie since when I got there all nail techs were busy assisting other clients and indicated they did NOT have time to do my nails. Tammi (owner) did not apologize or even acknowledged she forgot about appointment. For that reason I'm giving a negative review and they lost my business. I will not be coming back.

Sorry to have to give one star. I made an appointment for 2 teenagers to get pedicures. I never thought to ask for a price because no place that I have been in Salinas has charged more then $50.00 for ONE pedicure ( I pay 50.00 WITH a tip every 3 weeks someplace else so it's not like I am new to this) I dropped the girls off and they called 30 minutes later to say they were ready to be picked up. When I went in to pay Tammi ( the owner who did not do the service ) said the charge was $111.00. I questioned the charge because that seems high she said they asked for gel. The girls said "We didn't get gel" we just got the French tip polish. Never again..... and as other Yelp comments I should have drove the extra mile. I still don't understand how it came to an odd number, $111.00.

Worst experience ever at a salon. I've been here about four times within a span of a couple years and every time I leave I regret not taking the time to drive somewhere further to another salon. I always give this place the benefit of the doubt but it's honestly just not worth it and I will never come back. First of all I came in with my grandmother to get her a manicure and myself a pedicure, there was no one in the salon besides one other customer, I asked if they could take us and she said yes, I waited patiently for the guy to get off his smoke break to do my pedicure, after 15 minutes of the other worker yelling at the guy to come back in i was sat. my nana was sat in a chair and picked out a color and still waited over 30 minutes to get started on her manicure, and even took another customer that had just walked in, i understand if they have an appointment but don't seat my nana in a chair and make her wait, my pedicure lasted less than 30 mins, he cut my nails down till you couldn't cut anything left, there was polish left on my skin, and they are very lazy with the way they do French tips, not clean work at all, they tried to charge me $115 for both but I said it's simply not worth that at all. She ended up saying it was $55 for the gel pedicure and $45 for the manicure, so she charged me $100 total, this place is a scam, there are no prices or services listed anywhere in there salon so they can charge you whatever they feel like. Not worth it at all, I don't understand how they have good reviews at all I would give a half star if I could, the workers were nice but I'm not paying for nice people I'm paying for good work and it was horrible to say the least. Never been to such a bad nail salon before, especially since they've been there for years now you would think they know how to execute a proper pedicure, nope waste of time and money.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. I went to this nail salon for years, 2009 to 2019, then I left the area. It used to be amazing, I used to go to Tammy and Emily. I went in on Monday for a fill. I have never had such a terrible job. In a day and a half I have lost 2 nails with 2 more on their way out. When the first nail broke I tried to go in for a quick repair. I was told they were too busy for me and to make an appointment. If they're too busy for me, I'm too busy for them.. I will never go back. For $40 I expect more. I have found a new salon in the area. Shame on them for their extreme lack of quality. I have no idea what happened.

I went in on a Monday with my 4 year old son for pedicures and they were very nice and accommodating! They did a great job and we're very patient with my son. I also love how great my pedicure turned out as well. We will definitely be going back and I think this will be our new regular place!
