My Natural Nail in Waxhaw, NC

The lady was rude when we got their. Pushed us off to the side and told us to go pick out a color. We weren't even sure where the non gel colors were and had to figure that out on our own. Then we tried to get someone's attention and the same lady put us in the last two seats in the back and forgot about us. My mom and I were sitting their for more than 20 minutes with nobody approaching us to the point where the water was cold. Finally someone came by and asked us which spa type we wanted, left and then came back and said they were out of the two that we wanted. We picked two more and that lady started working on my moms toes. By the time my moms feet were painted another lady started working on mine. Shortly after the lady left and had someone else start working on me. When the lady saw that I had calluses she made a tsk noise. I mean who doesn't have callouses that need to be fixed(the tool she used wasn't even effective and their still their after everything is finished.) The whole time I was getting my feet done their was cold air blowing on me. When the lady used a towel on my legs the towel was just room temperature(usually their warm). Drinks were offered way after a fact by a guy who kept walking up and down the aisle. The other thing was that the lady who was doing my toes gave me flip flops when they were done even though I came in with some(just another thing I had to carry.) I also wanted to get my fingers done which was done by a whole other lady. After putting the clear paint on she wanted me to dry them. Once they were dry the fan was left on blowing on me(again with the cold air.) The lady accidentally got a drip of nail polish on my hand(which wasn't near my fingers) and didn't even try to clean it up all the way. The people seemed very disorganized and the place also had hair all over the ground and was gross. Overall my mom and I won't be returning just wanted to try a new place today and didn't get the care we deserved.

Wasn't impressed with this nail salon. Gel polish only lasted a few days and the technician was rough and abrupt with me. I have a disability that I mentioned upon arrival but it was not accommodated well. I did however enjoy the relaxing music that was playing.

I visited this nail salon on 12/28, and I won't even get into how horrible and rude the woman doing my nails was, how bad my nails looked at the end of the service, or how I, myself, had to scour the walls for a polish color since the color book does not match up with the correct numbers - I will just focus this review on how she sliced open my thumb and left cuts on two of my other fingers. The woman doing my nails (older, dark tattooed eyebrows) cut the side of my pointer finger and ring finger while filing my nails, and I didn't complain on either occasion - I just wanted to get out of there ASAP, as she hadn't even applied the polish yet and I had already been there for 45+ minutes. Just as she finishes polishing my nails, she begins roughly filing behind my thumb nail and sharply makes a deep cut to the point where I yank my hand away in excruciating pain in VISIBLE distress. While my thumb is bleeding, the woman tells me it's because I have "weak skin" and tries to finish filing the rest of my painted nails, I decline, and she then tries to hug me while telling me I need to pay at the register and then disappears into the back... While I should've escalated the issue while I was there, I just wanted to leave... it had been over an hour and a half for a gel manicure at this point. Instead of offering a discount or waiving the price of the service while visibly seeing my bloody cut-up thumb, the manager (Lynn) proceeded to charge me $45 for a manicure that left me in pain, and honestly looked terrible - the polish was streaky, and my nails were all different lengths.

That night, I woke up in the middle of my sleep due to the oozing and throbbing pain my thumb was in. I returned the following day to an empty salon to ask for a refund with bandages on three of my fingers, and was greeted by the same woman who had performed the despicable service less than 24 hours prior. Before I could even finish explaining how disgusted I was, (I wish I was exaggerating, but unfortunately, I am not), the woman YANKS the bandages off of my fingers, rolls her eyes, and said, "what you want?" I told her I would appreciate a refund, and she widened her eyes and said, "refund?!", then told me they don't offer refunds and to contact the manager. She told me the manager's name was Lynn, and walked away (with my bandages in her hand), pretending not to hear me when I asked her name multiple times.

Long story short, the cut behind my thumb took two weeks to heal fully. No one should have to pay, ESPECIALLY their outrageous prices, for a horrible manicure, rude service, and a deep wound. I highly recommend everyone steers clear of this salon and instead visit the many other highly-performing salons nearby! The picture I have provided of the cut behind my thumb nail doesn't do it justice, but hopefully you get a glimpse of how deep it was.

This is the best nail salon in the area with friendly attentive staff. Hands & feet look & feel great after every visit!

Another great experience at My Natural Nail! I love that I always get friendly service and my nails look great. They are able to do a manicure while doing a pedicure which is great for moms short on time.

Bonus - there's a Starbucks in the same shopping center!
