J. Christopher is every answer you've been looking for in a magic 8 ball! So is Khaos and Kosmos for that matter! Rad little salon tucked behind the busy street of Gage.  I'm obsessed with their holistic take on life and professionalism! Every time I set foot in their little oasis, I'm instantly renewed with a breathe of energy! I am warmly welcomed and everyone there makes me feel right at home.  (Love the tea they have there too)!

J. Christopher truly knows the science behind hair and teaches you little techniques that you can do at home yourself so that you can achieve the same look without going to the salon.  I have pretty curly hair, and getting my hair cut always scares me; some stylists like to get scissor happy but not  with J. Christopher! He only cuts/trims what the hair needs, so that it is then able to grow in a healthy way. He is a joy to be around and extremely knowledgeable. I had hard time finding someone in the tricities area who can actually cut hair (not just one straight cut). I came to Christopher based on all the positive reviews and also his bio on the website. And I wish I found him earlier!  I looked up online for what I wanted and he delivered!  It look exactly like the picture I brought with me! I really appreciate he spent time really listening to what I want and cutting it to perfection!!!  Very satisfied and pleasant experience! Won't go to anywhere for my haircut!!!

My stylist recently changed careers, so I went to J Christropher based on all of the positive reviews below. He was very polite and courteous and even came to come find me when I was having a hard time finding his salon office suite. I was early, so he was still in the middle of a session with the previous client. I waited a few minutes, and then told him what I was after.

I'm satisfied with the cut, my hair has drastically changed from curly to straight in the past few years, so I've been struggling to find the right look for it. I don't think we've nailed it yet. To this point, I would have rated the salon experience a 4-star.

What caused me to dock one more star, was that he had me write a blank check, which I'm not totally comfortable with. He explained that he wasn't sure which account he wanted it to go to. I checked my bank statement, which scans the cashed check, and it was made out to someone I don't know. Because of this, I don't feel particularly comfortable with such a practice, so I will not be back.

Anybody who could put up with my pickiness is a miracle worker. He will make sure he understands EXACTLY what you want before he starts and I can almost guarantee you will not be disappointed. I will definitely be back now that I have found someone I can trust with my hair.

This man understands hair and knows how to achieve what you are after.  That was my number one priority going in.  He's excited about what he does.  The icing on the cake is that he's a wonderful individual.
