Miky's Beauty Salon in Oakland, CA

Great one stop shop for the whole family! Ana has a great hand (with both adults and children) and is very patient with children. I have gone to her since I was a child and now I take my kids to her.

Miky's is not so bad, I get layers every three months because I love my layered hair. Further more it depends who does your hair, I like to have a lady who wears glasses and vans to cut my hair and another who is probably at the end of the salon. (I forgot their names ). They do a great job letting me know if this or that is okay. Recently got my hair trimmed and loved it. I recommend mikys but you got to know a bit of Spanish to communicate with the employees!

I have been here a. Few times for a. Haircut, the first time it was done by Rosa was ok the one but every time I give this place a chance it gets progressively gets a little worst. This last time I went it was a horrible experience. From the cut to the blow Dry, I literally has to take the blow dryer from her and do it myself. I asked her multiple time to please dry my hair, but she used low heat and round brush while aiming down only aiming any my ends. Wtf!??? I never had a blow dry where they aim and the ends and not the scalp, I don't think she knew what she was doing. I asked her politely if she's went to school for this and she stated she does not have her license yet, only the PROVISIONAL License!!!!!!! Why would you start cutting my hair and not disclose that? I don't even thing a "provisional" license is allowed.

Ana is the best with kid hair cuts! I've been taking my son who is 7 to Miky's specifically with Ana since he was 2 years old. She knows his hair cut like the back of her hand now. Honestly she has a great hand and she's very patient with kids.

Formerly these ladies were Anna Maria's salon.On the same street you'll now find Miky's. The ladies inside can do a fade in less than 20 minutes if you are in a hurry and there is no line. They cut, color, and perm with the best of them! I personally go see Vicki because, although she only speaks Spanish and I don't habla well, she always seems to understand what I want, from pictures and small questions. My point is that she makes the effort to go above and beyond and make you look your absolute best. I would recommend Miky's to anyone regardless of what salon she's working at. She does a great haircut for $12 so don't skimp on the tip! I always give her 20, and it's always more than fair. To see some of her work catch me on IG as @thomasleatherboi
