MIA Nails Spa in Phenix City, AL

This is an honest review. I have been trying new nail shops trying to find one that actually does a good job. I live very close to MIA nails so I figured I would give it a try. First I waited for over 30 minutes to even start my pedicure and nails. The people were very nice but I felt like they were rushing bc other people were coming in and they only had 3 workers. I got rhinestones added to one of my nails for design. By the next morning ALL of the rhinestones had fell off so I returned to have them redo them. The next day my nail polish (GEL) started peeling off and my acrylic starting rising up off my nails and looked horrible. I paid 86.00 for my nails and pedicure and my nails didn't even last me a week. If anyone wants good quality nails I wouldn't go to this salon. They are very nice friendly people but the quality of work is not good!!!

I made an appointment to come here. The place is super clean and very quiet. The nail techs are super organized and fast. I got a gel pedicure and an SNS manicure in less than an hour. The massage chairs were amazing!!! So comfortable and really hit all my knots. The lady doing my feet wasn't the most friendly but she was gentle and the massage was great. The guy that did my nails started them while I was in the pedicure chair. Usually this makes me feel rushed but I didn't get that at all. Once my feet were done (I got the color DD211... so pretty!!) I went to the mail chair and he filed and shaped my nails. No hand massage which I don't mind. Prices were reasonable. I spent $120 with a tip. But the regular spa pedi is $35 and my SNS was $45 and $10 for the gel on my toes. Plus tip. I am making this place my regular nail salon!

Horrible experience. I called to see if there was a wait, I was 10 minutes from the shop. The owner (I assume) said no, to come in. I didn't mind waiting for a bit but I had things to do, which is why I asked. I ended up waiting almost 45 minutes. When I called I asked the price of a full set acrylic, coffin shape on the shorter side I was told $30. Great. While I'm there the gentleman (owner) kept trying to upsell me, told me my nails were long and I should do dip powder, I considered it but I'd still have to add tips to make them all equal length. He said he wouldn't charge for that. I didn't want to spend more than the $30 quoted so I declined. I asked if all of their colors on the swatches were in gel and regular as I didn't want the charge for the gel. He said yes, we have all of our colors in both. Great. I got my pedicure, the lady was nice but did a horrible job, they're jagged and incredibly uneven. There was no massage, they just put some lotion on and move on. Not a huge deal but the main reason I get a pedicure is for the massage!

On to the full set, I get coffin shape between medium and short length. The man (owner) did my nails, he rushed through them-I'm assuming because he couldn't upsell me and wanted to get to the next person. I had to ask him to actually do the coffin shape, he barely filed them in the beginning also burning/cutting me with the file twice. I told him I'd like them shorter, he said he would do that later (he never did). He was very irritated I asked him to make them narrower at the end (so they actually looked like coffin nails). When it came time for color he told me he only had the two I picked in gel,hoping that I'd just say go ahead. I did not, at that point I could feel the animosity and frustration from him. I chose two other colors and he hastily painted my nails and got upset that I started blowing/fanning my nails so they'd dry faster between switching hands for coats (I was already way behind my schedule). Also, when he was drilling the tops to sand down the acrylic he cut me multiple times. The acrylic looks bad at the bed of my nails, along with the polish, it is very obvious the job was rushed. One of the tips is already lifting (one day after).

To top it all off he charged me $35 for the full set saying the two colors (I got one nail on each hand a different color from the 4 other nails) and the shape/length was extra. Total bs and a huuuggee rip off. I had the mind to come stand outside and tell people how bad it was today  go anywhere else.

Loved this place. First time here and I will be back. $35 for a deluxe pedicure is a great price! Really well done.
