Mane Attraction Salon in Fruita, CO

I came in yesterday and had Alexia for the first time. I immediately loved her. She looked at the pictures on my phone to see what my ideas were, and she said we could do that. I don't hear that often because of my natural curly hair. I was relaxed after the shampoo and a little scalp massage. She got to work as we talked about some issues; I was having with my hair due to my thyroid. She is extremely knowledgeable and has lots of ideas. I loved the way she cut and styled my hair. It was exactly what I wanted. I left with a big smile on my face. I told her before I left, I was coming back and would recommend her to my friends. The atmosphere was very relaxing and you could talk without a lot of noise. Great salon.

I came in from out of town and found this little gem of a hair salon in Fruita, Colorado! I got a shampoo and blow dry including abusing a flat iron too, all for $25.00! Unheard of in California! I gave her a great tip to bring it up to $45 which is what I normally pay. Great salon and really professional hair do!

First of all, don't advertise men's & children's hair cuts when what you really mean is "we cater to little old ladies hairdos only." When my husband & stepson walked in they were met with a surprised, "oh what are YOU doing in here," look. Secondly, when it became clear our son was getting the very basic and unprofessional, straight across the forehead , straight bangs cut, I asked the stylist to texturize the front, all I received in return was excuses. "He was looking up when I told him to look down," and "he already has product in his hair," Don't make excuses to your paying customer, fix your eff up and be silent about it. Plus, the 13 year old was well behaved AND sitting still. So yeah, NEVER patronizing this establishment again, and going back to Great Clips, where they are fabulous with children and actually enjoy what they are doing.

This salon has recently changed names but I went to it before it became the Mane Attraction and liked the stylist and location. It is under new ownership and isn't called a Girl Thang anymore. I got a great haircut and it was the same friendly atmosphere but I feel I should point out that there is not a good website to let me know prices and also I did not know it was cash only. In my opinion $30 is pretty standard for a haircut but I'm from Denver. One of my sisters felt it was too much. In any case, posting the prices and cash only policy ahead of time would have been super helpful.
