Madison Reed Hair Color Bar Towson in Towson, MD

I had a bad color experience a couple of months ago and ended up with a color I really didn't like and pretty damaged hair. I went to Madison Reed to see what they could do based on their location, the ease of getting an appointment, and the thought that there wasn't any risk since I couldn't dislike the color much more than I already did. Basically, my expectations weren't high. But I've actually been twice now. Madison Reed is interesting - it's just a color bar. No hair cuts, just color. You pay extra for a blowout after your color is done; you can use their self blow dry bar or walk out with wet hair if you don't want a blowout. On my first visit, they took a look at my hair and didn't want to do more than a gloss because it was already so damaged by the lightening I hated. I agreed that that was the best option, and they got to work. I left feeling better; they don't do color correction, but they really helped to address my issues with the color I had gotten done somewhere else. I liked it enough that I returned a few weeks later - this time for overall color since I wanted to cover up the rest of bad work I'd had done over a month before. They really listened to what I wanted, but set realistic expectations for how far my hair could go on that visit. I loved it when it was done. I left feeling 100% more myself. The services I received here were so much better than the service I received at a much more expensive salon recently. The service is great, it's easy to get an appointment, and you can park right across the street. It's definitely without the frills of a typical salon, but it has definitely fit the bill for me, and I already have two more appointments scheduled.

they do great work they really know what colors work best. My hair had been healthier since I switched to them.

Friendly knowledgeable staff and the manager Tia is an absolute amazing woman who genuinely cares about every client that walks in the shop. She knew I wasn't feeling well from a hospital procedure the day before and she offered me 2 ginger ales from her personal stash. She checked in on everyone constantly to see if anyone needed anything. And Taryn was cool too...I will definitely go back!

Fabulous staff! Color was gorgeous. On time very easy. No georgetown for me anymore.
