Salon Method in Towson, MD

Disappointed in the level of service and care for the price. The stylist was not particularly attentive. I got color done and she was too busy working on the next client to really check. Also, they charge e tra to blow dry?

Not interested in new customers. I called last week and no one answered the phone. I called on Tuesday for a Saturday appointment and was told everyone was busy. Didn't even bother asking if I wanted to make an appointment for another time just said goodbye. I guess it was better than hanging up on me.

I never write reviews, so this is saying something. I am still upset about this experience 2 months later, because I still have to live with my hair! I had gotten my hair cut at Salond Method before in March by Kelli and I really liked how she cut my hair. I started following her on Instagram and I saw her photos of light brown balayage that I loved. I had been wanting to try balayage for a long time, so in June so I booked the next closest appointment with Kelli which ended up being in August, which I thought was a long time to wait, but I thought that it would be worth it. I brought many, many photos with me to my appointment which I showed Kelli, but my end product did not look at all what I showed her. To start, she cut my hair all one length with a mens hair clipper on dry hair. I thought that something was up with this, but I trusted her. I asked for long layers, and she never ended up putting those in, my hair is still all one length, which does not compliment my hair, as it is quite thick. But, my hair is not thick anymore, because it has started falling out. So, she started painting on my balayage, and she painted it almost all the way to my roots! I had asked for it to be placed lower down than it was placed. I was than put under a heater, and she did not end up leaving the bleach in long enough to lighten it to a level 9/10, which ended up making my hair extremely brassy and orange/red because it was not light enough. My hair was washed, and when she blowdried it, my hair was corn yellow and extremely brittle. I wanted to cry. I had asked for an ash color, not yellow/orange/red, and these colors are all in my hair. I think that she thought she could get away with not putting as much effort in and didn't have to do as much work because I am a younger client. She ended up making my hair look awful, and I do not think that this hair is what she wants people to think of when people think of Salon Method. When I said that it was not what I asked for, she put on a toner on, which made my hair the same exact color as when I walked in, completely covering up the balayage. Then, when I stated this, she had an apprentice use a clarifying shampoo for a few minutes, and when she blowdried it, my hair was yellow and brassy again, still not what I asked for. Almost in tears, I just wanted to get out of there, so I paid, and have been telling my friends about my experience at Salon Method. I would not recommend this salon, I am embarrassed about my brassy yellow/orange hair and will have to live with it.

Love this little boutique type salon! Great atmosphere and be sure to try some of the homemade Italian cookies they have out for you! I have more hair than 2-3 normal people combined, it's wavy and sometimes hard to manage. I love the cuts I get there! The stylists make great suggestions as to styles that would compliment your face and lifestyle. They also carry good products. I'm a southerner and we have a totally different definition of what it means to be blonde than the "yankees" do They have it down and my color has never looked better! Staff is super friendly, I wish I could go everyday and get my hair done! And for speciality occasion hair, they are also awesome!

I knew I was getting my hair done in Ruxton so checked the price list online before I went in. Of course, there were no exact prices for services -- just a range. I was shocked when I received my bill -- it was way more than I expected since they charged for partial highlights, color, and cut separately (which doesn't make any sense to me). And of course they used the top end of the range of prices posted online. I usually go to Hair Cuttery and don't see much of a difference between the cut and color I receive there and the cut and color at Salon Method. I can't see my highlights, and my hair still has a chemical smell one week later.
