I love having my nails done. I go every 2-3 weeks. This has become my regular spot. Sunny is my go to. He does an excellent job. But all the techs are exceptional. Happy with the professionalism and treatment they provide.
The premium Pedi falls short of premium. I had a nail tech who needs more training. I was staying with friends this weekend and after an early and busy Saturday morning we were looking forward to our 4:00 appointments. Both my friends had great pedi services from their nail techs. So it's all about who the skill set and professionalism of who does your service that makes for the service and experience. For example, two of us were not offered wine or water. Even when our third friend was given a glass of wine, the other two techs did not offer.
One friend's tech made a great presentation and explained the choices in the pedi mask and scrub and let her choose the scent. My tech made her own choice and I had to ask her if she didn't mind sharing what scent she had chosen. She said mint, at which point I had to tell her mint causes an allergic reaction to my skin and to please offer me another choice. She quickly muttered the choices and I had to ask her to repeat because I cousin to hear her. She didn't offer to bring the board over for me to like the other tech. What tech does not offer a client a choice for a chosen $20 upgraded service and thinks it is okay? Especially when I'm sitting next to my friend who received a friendly presentation on the choices. The tech did not seem to care for her lack of client services.
My pedi was not well done. Both my friends who are regulars at this shop even commented on my tech and pedi. The toe nails were not cut and filed at the same angle or length, were not buffed, and one toe did not appear to have a top coat. One small toe chipped later that evening. Another toe chipped on the second day. After the third day, I redid the pedi at home fixing all the inconsistencies in the shape and repainted.
Things to note:
1. They require masks and are still enforcing social distancing.
2. Make an appointment. They are very busy despite the varying skill set of the nail techs.
3. The shop is in a very empty almost abandoned looking shopping center. If you're not local it will not be a shop that you easily see from the road.
4. The shop is very clean and has a lot of nail choices. Not the largest But plenty. Their selection is disorganized- no order of brands or colors.
5. There are no TVs (which is fine by me) and if there is soothing music it cannot be heard over the noise of drills, and light chatter. So it is not a very relaxing atmosphere except that the massage chairs make up for it..
I'm giving a generous rating of 3 for the lack of friendliness upon arrival and departure and overall for the lack of consistency in the skills and hospitality from two of the 3 nail techs on our Saturday afternoon.
It was my second experience ever getting a pedicure and I have to say that the staff treated me like it was my first. My wife and I enjoyed our time together and we will definitely go back.
