LifeSpa in Shelby Township, MI

I've been a member of Lifetime for over 4 years and today was the 1st time I ever step foot into the salon. My daughter had won a Free Kids hair cut (a $20 value) from a Family Yoga event earlier this year and we used it today to get her "back to school hair cut". I feel compelled to tell you that the gift certificate was long expired- in fact it had expired at the end of April!! I asked Jamie, when I called today, if they would still honor the coupon. She said she didn't see why not, but would have to double check with her manager and get back to me. She scheduled my daughters appointment- for today, after my yoga class, and said she would call back shortly to let me know for certain about the coupon. I'll be honest, I could believe they could get my day in today, this salon is Always busy! So I kept my fingers crossed they would still honor the coupon she won. Not 10 minutes later Jamie called be back and gave me the great news that the coupon won would still be honored, even though it was expired. I was trilled! I went to yoga, grabbed my youngest daughter from Kids Academy after, all while my other children continued to participate in the LEGO class. When we entered the salon I was greeted by Jamie with a huge smile. She asked my daughter and me if we wanted hot tea or pineapple infused water. What!? That's awesome!! My daughter asked for water. I stole a sip- it was good! I told her stylist (I hope I remember correctly, it was Nicole) what I wanted for her cut and she cut it perfectly! No more, no less. It was fast and precise. Exactly what I like. My daughter happily tip her "hair cut lady". We took a quick pic and handed the coupon to Jamie and thanked her again. My little one felt super special getting her hair cut in a "fancy place". I was Uber happy they honored the expired coupon, and that my daughter's hair looked great. $20 seems high for a kids cut, but maybe that's just me. That's why they lose a star from me.

I have been coming here for years and absolutely love everyone who works here! The techs are awesome and provide the highest quality of service, and the assistants are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. More recently I have been coming here for manicures, pedicures with Cassie, and brow waxes with Tina. Cassie is a miracle worker and somehow managed to make my nails look amazing after years of a cuticle picking habit, with a simple chip-less/shellac manicure! I am actually moving across the country from MI to CA and had my last appointment with Cassie yesterday afternoon. Cassie even agreed to stay late when issues arose with movers right before my appointment. As always, she gave me a perfect French shellac manicure, but while I was paying my bill, Cassie and Farrah (from the front desk) presented me with a lovely card and a bag full of goodies to thank me for being a respected client for so long, and to keep my nails looking great while I'm out in CA The people at the Shelby Lifespa truly value their customers and show it proudly. I am going to miss all of them until I'm able to come back for a visit.

CARMEN was the best thing that had happened to my eyebrows. If you are looking for an artist to shape your eyebrows, she is the person to see. I had been seeing Carmen for my eyebrow waxing for about 3+ years, and every single time she made them perfect. Upon moving to another state/country, I have been searching for someone to do the job as well as Carmen, and the past 15+places I have tried have not even came close. I just tried a new place, and like the others, it leaves me unsatisfied due to the fact that I know Carmen could have done them so much better. I just wanted to share this review because she is a master of the eyebrows, and anyone that is able to be seen by her, should definitely see her, because I wish I could. Highly recommend.

They never disappoint!

I've been going here for 5 years now and they are amazing! Absolutely best service around and the stylist Alexa is my go to. She's on top of all the latest style trends. She's great at extensions, coloring, treatments, updos, literally everything! They carry some of the best hair care lines as well- always feel my best leaving this place. I reccomend to many friends and all who've gone leave just as happy as myself. Worth every penny! Ask for Alexa!
