came in a few days ago for my grandmother's birthday because she wanted to get a pedicure and it was absolutely wonderful!! my toes look beautiful and it was very relaxing as i was getting my pedicure done. you're greeted as soon as you walk in. the lady doing my pedicure was very sweet and kind and accommodating. the man doing my grandma's pedicure was joking with her and being super duper friendly. whenever someone asks for nail salon recommendations, i always recommend l'aqua!
YALL! This gel pedicure is from like 3 weeks ago! It's still holding up like I just got it. I live near this nail salon and am very happy that it's around the corner. They are consistently good at doing nails and I really like the people that work there. It's also very clean!
It was okay. I just moved to Metairie area so looking for a new salon to frequent every month. They were able to get me in for a fill last minute, which I was super happy about (the other place I made an online appt for I found out was closed when I showed up). The lady who did my nails was very nice but they charge an extra $5 to cut down your nails and $5 for the shape. After my nails were cut down she didn't make sure they were the same length on both side (usually do a side by side comparison). They aren't really shaped coffin style like how I asked, some look more square. I'll just end up filing and fixing myself. The chairs that you sit on are worn out and peeling. I'm not sure if I'll go again, but it wasn't the worst of places.
Google and maps say they close at 7. I called because I got lost coming from work at 6:30. Lady on the phone never said "we're closed". I get there at 6:45 and the lady at the front desk tells me they are closed and all the workers have already gone home. Even though there is someone sitting in the pedicure chair getting her feet done. This is my first and last visit. Poor customer service/communication.
Update: I'm here waiting on my ride, and a lady comes from the back and says "I messed up my toes" apparently she was getting her lashes done. They are fixing her toes.
But all the workers left for the day.
This is my second visit to L'aqua since coming to Louisiana for a deployment post Hurricane Ida. I don't get much time off but coming to L'aqua is therapeutic for my spirit, and the bonus is my feet and hands look so beautiful afterwards. I highly recommend Lyn for the pedicure and calf/foot massage. Rosey is highly recommended for the manicure. Both of them are kind and gentle. They're sticklers for detail. They don't rush. The salon is bright, clean and calming. I look forward to my next visit!
