Jose Manuel Salon and Spa in Lakewood, WA

I paid for my mother to come here and receive service in regards to hairstyling and cutting. Needless to say, it was an absolute waste of $190. The prices seemed fair compared to other salons, but the absolute appalling service rendered wasn't worth the money; my mother would have been better going to sports clips! Jose seemed confident with the style, but the aftermath begs to differ. This is the second time I've paid for a family member to receive a service here, and for a second time we are extremely disappointed. I highly recommend going somewhere else, as this man has zero business destroying hair the way he does. If you cannot perform a requested style, be honest about it so we don't waste our time!

Somehow Jose managed to cut my hair in a way that made my hair fall naturally and consistently wavy (normally, half of my head is wavy/curly and half is stubbornly straight. I either had to curl it all, straighten it all or wear it up bc who has time for all that). I didn't know what I wanted but somehow he gave me the perfect cut. It looks great down without having to do much of anything to it! Also, very affordable. Prices are usually gouging and only getting worse. But Jose Miguel salon is affordable AND high quality.

Way over priced and did not even get the color I asked for and was told she could do. Ended up costing me over $300. Would not recommend.

I have been to many, many top salons in Seattle, a few in Spokane and Tacoma and I must say that I got beautiful, rich color that turned out exactly right and the best cut I've ever had right here in Lakewood! I knew when I walked in that I made the right choice. The place is clean and has a good atmosphere, and their display of Aveda products to me smells like high quality. Jose and Ari were both charming and paid such close attention to the color and type of cut to maximize the volume and type of hair I have. This business excels at customer service, making you feel special, the kind of place you want to support. And my hair! I love love love it!

Jose is the best stylist I have ever had, ... and I'm NO spring chicken believe me. His abilities to blend complex colors is nothing short of amazing. Don't let the simple store front fool you, Jose is a total class act. He takes great care in making you feel relaxed and he is so easy to talk with. I will never go anywhere else. Worth every penny!!! A+ all the way.
