Johnny's Nails in Lawton, OK

I went in to get a Pinterest inspired set for an upcoming wedding I was going too. I specifically wanted acrylics, almond shaped, and gel shellac in a sheer pink color and is more than happy the result. Staff and customers alike were all very friendly, much different from the California hospitality that I am used too.

I love this nail salon. I go here on the regular. They are extremely nice. They remember me and my family. The couple that own the business are fantastic. Even though there are a few people that work there the wait isn't very long. I've gone there for manicures and pedicures. I've never had any problems and I've been a loyal customer for 7 months now.

This place is great! I have been coming here for a while I always get a friendly smile and great service! They are less expensive then anywhere else you can go in town.

I've been here once before, only to get a fill. That experience was fine. Today I asked for a colored tip, with acrylic over it and a gel polish over it. This makes the top one color and the bottom another.

First the woman yelled at me, told me no can't do it.  After I explained there was no difference than a clear nail, my request was granted and after the hour wait --which was not even mentioned, I was seated and began.

Along the way, I mentioned I wanted a little more shaping, asked about a sharp edge or two and asked if the man could paint all the way to the edge. He proceeded to paint the nails without cleaning the edges before setting the paint, didn't paint to the edges and literally PILED the gel polish on.  They came out, I asked the man again to clean the edges and he said no "they are already dry, no can clean" okay, sure.

I was almost in tears as he rang me up and charged me 50 dollars. I was so uncomfortable, it was hard sign my receipt.

So I got my nails done last Friday, by Saturday my fingers were burning and red. By Monday morning my skin was peeling off and so sore that I could not bend my fingers. I went to see the doctor and guess what he informed me? Yep, its a fungus. So I called Johnny's to speak to the manager. After being hung up on twice I finally got the lady to speak with me. When I asked her for the manager she told me the manager was not there and she "not know when they come back.." she continued to have an attitude when I asked for my money back. She said "no refund, you come here" and hung up. So here I am with this painful fungus, ugly nails, and out $30.. I will NEVER go back! Nasty place with hateful people. Be warned..  If I could give them negative stars I would..
