Jodie's Coiffures in Austin, TX

i have been to jodie's coiffures for a majority of my life. she has dyed my hair many colors. i recently went from blonde to black, and i absolutely adore it.

I had a great experience at Jodie's Coiffures. She's so warm and welcoming, and of course highly skilled. Previously at an other salon I had a bayalage poorly done, with the highlights being way too light than i wanted, and very streaky. I went to Jodie's Coiffures for help on toning it down for a more natural look. She did a great job, and was very communicative of the process. Will definitely be coming back soon

I am a guy with long hair that is trying to get it longer. I have now been to Jodies twice and will soon be heading back for a 3rd trip. It is a very reasonable $30 for a male wash & cut. The 1st time I went I had debated cutting a lot off, but ideally I really wanted very little cut as I wanted to have it grow. I was willing to be convinced into more. Jodie heard my story of me always wanting long hair and how I wanted it longer and that was that. She started explaining what she could do that would be minimal and help me get it to my desired length. Whew! What a relief! I'm very assertive about most things, but not my hair because I think it's a hard skill to perfect and messing up is easy, especially in the beginning. It happens too often. Hair is hard. It can take time to get it right...or so I thought. Jodie gets it right the first time because she listens. I need to say no more. She listens. She doesn't try to tell you what you want like other people in her profession. She might if you really push her, but I think she will still listen to your wants first. So I'm a guy that was pretty used to standard barbers that can do a good fade and sometimes one that can also line me up with a switch blade. The switch blade line up is hard to find in Atx at least for a decent prize. I guess I'm spoiled by having lived in NYC and every barber that wants to be used more than once needs to know how to use a blade. Jodies actually has one a few times a month, but I have yet to try her. Over the phone appointment set up is smooth. The atmosphere is relaxed even if you end up being the only guy there. I can easily say that I recommend this place for a "salon" haircut that avoids all the awkwardness of other places. They speak fluent Spanish, so this is treat for me. I am now known as "el chef". :)

I've been seeing Robert for many years now. He is awesome! Great stylist, my color always looks incredible. People compliment me all the time. I recently took the plunge and cut my hair short. I couldn't be happier. Robert always adds that little something that is his own touch. Love this place and love Robert.

Robert at Jodie's Coiffure's is an awesome hair stylist! He does great color, highlights & cuts! He's also a great guy & makes getting your hair done fun. Jodie's is a great salon, too. Everyone is nice, friendly & helpful! Jodie, the owner, makes everyone feel at home the moment you enter the door! I highly recommend Robert and Jodie's Coiffures!
