JCPenney Salon in Fort Wayne, IN

The WORST hair color cut and experience of my life. Although I got my money back, my cut on my hair is a disaster that will take time to be able to fix. If you schedule and get Kyra RUN. Not experienced, not skilled and NOT knowledgeable about hair like she will make you think she is. I got my money back but my hair is an awful mess until it grows out. There was NO fixing this that could have saved it. And the color was splotchy, brassy and AWFUL. They offered to fix it but I'm not about continuing to add chemicals to a mess as it is.

I had an opportunity,recently, to visit the salon at JCP! I was literally between the rock and the hard place. My regular stylist was booked and my time was limited. Not much frazzles me, but the thought of being non- coiffed for the pending holiday was enough to send me into a full panic. I'd had a busy week, due to circumstance, I worked early and late several days the preceding week. They flux in my schedule made my routine maintenance hard to schedule, coupled with still needing to tighten up on my shopping presented a dilemma. I happened to be in JCP early one morning and entered via the bottom entrance.
I was pleasantly greeted by a member of the salon staff offering a coupon, we know I LOVE coupons. I gladly accepted and she graciously informed me coupons, the 10/10 or 20/20, could be used on salon products. I was definitely elated. I could secure a great girly gift whilst saving money via coupon, but I digress. As I was checking out with my hair products in hand, I was speaking casually about how I needed to level up with my hair trim, the stylist said "if your interested, we can fit you in now" talk about small miracles. I immediately sat in the chair of a master stylist. Within 40 minutes of entering JCP, I'd secured a necessary gift and gotten my hair trimmed as well. I was pleased at the skilled cut and the pleasant atmosphere.

Things I can tell you for sure.
1. They have 20 stylist spots
2. Care can be provided by a master stylist, stylist, or new employee. The fee scale slides with whom you choose, master stylist being the most expensive.
3. Service is quick and friendly.
4. The salon is clean and well kept, as are the employees from my quick assessment.
4. Coupons are accepted.
5. They offer mani/pedi services in a private setting. This is important if you have feet not ready for public viewing ( y'all know that one hammertoe person).
6. They accept cash, check, or card.
7. They have multi- ethnic stylists and clientele.

I was pleased and should the need arise, I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

My daughter's grandparents gave her a JC Penney salon gift card for her birthday. The stylist did a great job with cutting her hair. The stylist and receptionist also had great recommendations for hair products. I was going to buy two products, and the receptionist let me know that I could get a third product for just one cent. I thought it was really considerate of her to let me know about the sale instead of just letting me buy the two products at full price. We usually get our hair cuts from a friend, but I was very happy with our experience at this salon for my daughter's birthday.

Friendly service and top-notch stylists. The salon is always clean and has a great selection of professional hair and nail products: Redkin, Chi, OPI, etc. Tawanda is my stylist and she is prompt, courteous, and keeps my hair in excellent condition.
