Paul is OUTSTANDING with hair! Not only is he talented, but he is so kind. He just did my entire family's hair and I will not be going anywhere else.
Paul has been cutting my hair since at least about 1993, so about 22 years or more! Obviously, I'm a very satisfied customer. I have long, very thick hair, and Paul handles it well. Before Paul not all hair stylists handled my hair well, so once I found Paul I stuck with him. He has the patience and skill to gently work through my mass of hair without tugging or pulling. Throughout the time it takes to work on my hair we always have pleasant and fun conversation. I highly recommend Paul! Also, Jamaica You salon has a very casual and relaxing environment. They carry high quality products, and I buy hair brushes and hair products there (they carry several brands, including Aveda). Additionally, there's always an ongoing art exhibition of paintings or photographs from local artists. Unlike its former downtown location, parking right in front of the salon is super easy.
Stephanie who works here is fantastic! She really understands hair texture as well as the shape of your head in order to give you the best cut. She has been cutting my hair for about 4 years now and I have never had a bad cut. On a regular basis I have people ask me who cuts my hair. That's a big statement.
Rita is the absolute Best! She listens to you, but her expertise should always be used. She knows her stuff and is excited about what she does.
This is an excellent style salon. Paul has been doing my hair for 18 years. I have long curly hair and he does an excellent job helping me to style it and care for it so that it stays shiny. My husband has his hair cut also and we have been very happy with the results. The prices are so reasonable compared to many salons that I feel charge a fortune.
