Love this place so much especially the overall aesthetic including all of the plants and the decor! Moon River is located in downtown San Luis Obispo, so parking can be a bit tricky but doable. They are a full service salon and there are quite a few hair stylists to choose from. You can conveniently book only without having to call, which is a huge plus for me! Most recently got my hair done (all black) and had Madison, who is the absolute best!!!! She takes the time to really get to know her clients and what they are looking for by asking questions while making you feel at home/comfortable! She's so friendly and you can clearly tell she's passionate about what she does. She is such a gem and I'm so grateful to have found her!! Thanks Madison, and Moon River!

She pays great attention to detail and listens to her customers. She is a true artist that doesn't mind going extra mile or taking extra time to get the best results. Just tried this salon for the first time on a whim, called for a walk in and got in the schedule for the same day. I went in with a very vague description and some pictures of an idea of what I wanted and Miranda couldn't have done a better job! I didn't know I had fine hair (Miranda's speciality) but through the haircut she taught me how to style and care for it. I cut maybe 5 inches off and added texture and face framing bangs, so a big change, and I absolutely adore it. The vibe of the salon is so comfortable and lively and the people are so nice! A must-go for all your hair needs!!
Madison is my stylist, and let me just say she is amazing and always meets my expectations. I'm really grateful to have found a stylist I trust to really get creative with my hair. She is very accommodating with my schedule, and I always leave so happy with the results!
