Great Clips in Winston-Salem, NC

I had my haircut along with my girlfriends son. The individuals that cut our hair should not be cutting hair at all. My GF's son hair is butchered. It is uneven all around. The back of his head is long in some spots and shorter in the other. Also, the woman that cut his hair nicked his ear and the back of his neck to where it was bleeding. My hair is not even on the sides. I was literally telling the woman how to cut my hair and even showed her a picture of what I wanted. I usually go to another location but we decided to go here bc it was next door to where we were eating. I would NOT recommend this location at all. The woman cutting my hair was very nice but it was very frustrating bc she didn't seem to know what she was doing. The only reason I'm giving 1 star is bc she was a nice person.

I was helped earlier today by this young lady, I think her name was Savannah. She did it a great job accommodating my requests and gave me a nice haircut. She was quick but yet super efficient. Will definitely be coming back to this location because of her!

Went here right when they opened hoping to get a haircut as I am in desperate need. The location opens at 8:30 but they need two people in the store to be open which I totally understand. You need to be safe! I didn't mind waiting until the next person came in and when they did I waited outside another couple of minutes so that person could put their stuff down and kind of get their space together and then I walked in. The lady who took my phone number already seemed pissed off just to be at work but I was like, whatever I get like that at work sometimes too. Then she asks what I need and I say a cut and style because I had already washed my hair and it was wet and ready to cut. She proceeds to throw up her hands and ask me what was I even asking for over and over. I was always told by previous stylists to say cut and style because if you don't say style they won't blow dry it and make it look all pretty.... They'll just let it air dry after the cut. After she kept berating me with the what was I even asking for I finally just said never mind, thank you and left. I don't know much about this location or if it's the norm for them but I do know for myself I will never come back here.

I'm not the kind of girl that has to have a fancy salon hair cut. I'm pretty basic with my hair. Sure it would be nice to have a glass of wine or bubbly while getting a trim but in times of Covid sometimes you just need a good trim. This is the place for it. I checked in online and barely waited once I got there. Taylor was great. She was efficient and gave me good hair advice. I will def be back the next time my hair gets unruly. You can't beat it for a 15 buck cut. However I would pay an extra 5 for that wine

After months without a haircut or trim, it was time to have something done. I was glad to see that the location was taking precautions, due to Covid-19. I checked-in online, while in the parking lot. There was a wait time of approximately three minutes. That worked out well. The place was clean and two different employees welcomed me. The welcome didn't sound canned or by rote, either. The employees I encountered were friendly. I explained to the stylist, Johnny (sp?), that I needed to take off a little bit of length, so my perm could get a little of its bounce, back. Not only did he listen (the hallmark of a great stylist), he asked questions, too. The bottom line is, he delivered. He didn't take off too much length and he made sure I was happy with how it looked. It was a much needed change, that made me feel 100% better. Not only is he a wonderful stylist, he is a very kind human being. Based on this experience, I recommend both this stylist, and this location.
