Great Clips in Wichita, KS

A decent cut for the price. It nice to check in before you arrive .  Cuts out the waiting time.

i've never once had a bad haircut from this great clips. the staff is also really nice and fun to talk to.

Wow...hair stylist very rude when I asked her to wear a mask while cutting my child's hair. Kept telling us she didn't have to and was slamming around her scissors and supplies. I should have just left but she started the haircut too quickly. After, my son told me she'd put the apron around his neck much too tightly and he was too scared of her to complain. I'm so sad I stayed & he had to sit there having his neck squeezed while she flew through the cut, snipping her scissors loudly by his ears. This woman seemed legitimately bananas. There is a sign displayed by the checkout telling visitors not to ask staff's vaccination status & assuring visitors that the salon has  "strict protocols in place to ensure the health and safely of everyone in the salon." I wonder what those are? My child was not safe in their salon and we won't return. Bad experience for kids & moms.

*sigh* I went here just to get my head buzzed on my lunch break and figured I didn't need to spend a bunch just to get it all taken off. The job was done well enough, it's not an easy thing to mess up. The issue was the staff rubbed me wrong. The guy doing my hair made a Brittany Spears joke which made me cringe. It kinda sucks that women cant shave their head without it being assumed she's having a mental break down. And what if I WAS in the middle of some emotional distress and this had been my way of coping?
I'm sure they would just say "we were just playing" or "some people don't have a sense of humor" but it's a tired, worn out joke.

Then the other guy in the shop seemed like he was trying to be playfully snarky but it honestly came off more catty than anything. My friend put my purse on the floor for a sec so she could take a video and he goes "oh np, only poor people put bags like this on the floor". Dude. If it's in the way just tell me but that's a weird comment . Also, bruh, I'm at a Great Clips. What about that says I'm in any way boujee?

Anyway, I this is the second or third time I've been here that I left not thrilled. I gave it anther chance because like I said earlier it was just a simple buzz cut, but I'm done giving chances. Plenty of other cheap places I can go to.  I'm sure they would just say "we were just playing" or "some people don't have a sense of humor" but it's a tired, worn out joke.

There are two stylists here that have both told multiple walk ins that there is an hour plus wait.
The wait is being "inflated" because multiple people who checked in online where also told it was an hour when they walked in; so they walked out.
They where purposely left on the list.

I find this hugely deceiving, dishonest, and a blatant lie to your customers.

Sadly, we have been coming here for 7 years.

We will not be back.
