this is my second time going here and I'll just say that I am disappointed in the haircut I receive. I feel as if some of the workers there do not care at all about the haircuts they give people and just aim to do it as fast as possible to make a fast buck.

If you decide to go here for a hair cut DO NOT let a woman named Maria touch your hair. She totally butchered my hair after I told her to cut 1/2 inch.
Remember!!! Do not let Maria cut your hair!! She should be fired.

The Hoxsie Four Corners Great Clips.

Applause is in order for today's stylist, a short, older blond with crazy eyes whose name I unfortunately did not get as I would have enjoyed sharing it here. She's a professional -- maybe not at her job, and probably not at life, but certainly at being a complete twit to strangers.

At home this afternoon, I checked in on the Great Clips mobile app, as one does, and then set out on the short walk from my house to the shop. I'd already put off getting my haircut for a couple weeks because I've had a mean little cold and I'm a considerate person who tries to avoid spreading germs to others. I couldn't put the haircut off any longer, however, so before I entered the shop, I tried to break even by putting on a fresh surgical mask.

Inside, a nice woman asks me if I've checked in. I say I have. The screen shows I'm third in a line consisting of 3 people. The other two parties are clearly present. Nice lady asks me to sit and wait a few minutes. I go to sit down. Older blond barks at me from the other computer, "DID YOU CHECK IN?"

"Yes -- David C.," I said. "WHAT?!" she asked, leaning forward with her hand to her ear in this exaggerated fashion that suggested I had whispered like a titmouse. "David C.," I repeated, louder. Still not loud enough. I stood up and walked u ap to her and said loudly, "DAVID. C."

After a couple moments, she said, "You checked in twice. Come with me." I was already not liking this lady.

I sat down. Older blond said, "You're going to have to hold that mask to your face because I'm definitely going to cut the loops with my scissors if you don't." I thought to myself, Did this woman literally just tell me to hold my mask to my face? What did she do during COVID? I just said, "No problem, I'll just take it off." I'm happy to give germs to rude people. (Unfortunately, my body did not try to produce even one small cough during this entire exchange. Sad.)

We're already off to a bad start, but now she wants to force her abysmal version of small talk on me. "How are you today?" "I'm fine, how are you." Mysteriously, again: "Good morning, how are you today!" I said, "It's afternoon, and I'm fine." "Oh, well, I got here at 11, and it still feels like morning to me!" Yeah, well, get out of bed earlier, then. Drink some coffee. Might help you keep up with the check in line.

She starts rattling off all the work her husband did around the house this morning -- a shop vac, a filter, flooding that happened in September, I don't remember the rest. I didn't care. I felt so uncomfortable. Why was this lady rattling off her to-do list at me? Why not just shut up?

A customer and his daughter had arrived about the same time as me. The daughter was 5 and insisted on having the hairdresser named Julie do her hair, but Julie wasn't in today. So father and daughter left. This gave my hairdresser cause to say to one of her coworkers, "Julie came out of the bathroom on Friday white as a ghost and sweating. I told her, 'Go home! I don't want your germs!'" I almost quipped, "Didn't you just tell me to take my mask off?"

For whatever reason, the lady who had just seemed neurotically incapable of shutting her mouth now did so with apparent ease. I welcomed this first sign of improvement in her professionalism. But now, as she proceeded with trimming my hair, she literally began to BLOW stray hairs off my neck with HER MOUTH. Multiple times! I am just awed by this. I have never once in my life had a stylist or a barber BLOW on my NECK. I wondered if she was one of those who really takes issue with people wearing masks. Maybe she'd taken me for a snowflake soy boy for wearing one in to the building, when all I'd meant by doing so was to save HER the inconvenience of MY cold. But in exchange, what had I gotten? A subtle message to "man up" and deal with the reality of germs?

As my wet hairs accumulated on her scissors, she wiped them off on my shoulder, something else I've never had a stylist or barber do.

I didn't particularly want to tip her, but in my haste to leave, I pressed the first tip option the credit card machine presented, which was $5.  Five dollars on $19: I gave this woman a 26.3% tip for blowing on my neck. Yuck. All the while this oblivious asshat is trying to tell me what a great deal $19 is, which I just don't like to hear at any time, frankly, as I think I can decide that for myself, and going on about this Veteran's Day pay-in-advance deal that's coming up that I'm definitely not interested in because I never want to risk seeing this pig ever again, not for $19, not for $13.95, not for $0.

I deleted the app from my phone on the walk home. I knew better than to do business with a corporation for which efficiency and low prices are its core competencies. Better to seek out and thank the deserving little guy with your dollars than some out-of-state LLC that leaves you at the mercy of some little blond twit and her anger issues. I'd stay away.

I had the worst haircut ever at this location
I waited alittle Moore than a week to call tge salon and explain the disconnection and uneven cut hoping they would at least try to fix it.
The manager who has a terrible attitude completely refused to address the issue.
This wasn't my first visit to this Great Clips it was about a year before and I now remember the manager being very shirt with customers.
Awful way to run a business
I absolutely would not recommend this location.Airport Road Warwick,RI

I didn't receive the worst haircut of my life from this place today. I am 76 years old, and I can recall at least two haircuts in my live that were worse, and I'm not counting the one I got in Marine Corps boot camp.
Plus, while trying to remove my ear, the guy with the shears sliced through the elastic on my mask. And when I objected he seemed to want to fight.
At that point the other hair-cutters came to his defense and told me I was rude for telling him to watch out.
Another  barber stepped in to try and straighten out the gouges in my hair, and the shift manager tried to comp the session, but I don't operate that way and paid in full and tipped the lady who tried to recue my hair $11. I will write to whomever I can to warn people about this place. I will warn anyone I come in contact with about it. I will get my bad haircuts someplace else from now on.
