Went to Paul Mitchell Beauty school after a professional salon owner ruined my hair. The school was strongly recommended and I had my doubts. I've never been happier with my hair. I have thin wavy hair and not everyone can work with it. Kathleen, a level 2 student and her instructor did an amazing job. I went twice for cut and hair color; they nailed it! Thank you!
Have been going there for years, for myself and my daughters. They know how to care for curly hair and hair of all textures, which is not always easy to find! In addition to the basic wash and set (which used to be my go-to) they also offer things like curly cuts (aka diva cuts) which I now prefer, as well as various types of smoothing treatments and conditioning options. Sophie is knowledgeable about the different types of keratin and other treatments you hear about, and has offered me honest feedback every time I've asked about how effective things are and which ones will or won't damage your hair. They also offer more natural hair options these days as well as braiding, which I'm very happy about. Overall, great hair spot! Convenient location, great service.
I have been getting my hair done here close to 10 years. Prior to this I struggled to find a hair stylist that knew how to cut curly hair. My curls are always on point now. Sophie's my go to girl but all the ladies here do a great job. Make an appointment you won't regret it!
I scheduled an appointment at this salon and was seen right away. I was not impressed by the service I received. I went in for a blow out and it was not what I expected. Usually when I receive a blow out I do not get a roller set, but with it being my first time there I did not make a fuss. Afterwards, the stylist used the blow dryer, but along with my scalp getting burned from the heat of the blow dryer....the style was awful. The stylist did not know what to do. My hair was not really straight from the blow out. I expressed that I did not want my hair flat ironed....and she ended up using a curler. I don't know, but if someone told me do not use a flat iron WHY would you use a curler? They are both irons...Anyway, not many people know how to style natural ethnic hair. So my search continues.....
