Great Clips in St Charles, MO

Great service. Friendly staff! Easy registration and check in. Wait time was short. Will definitely be back.

So if I was basing this review solely on the stylist it would def be 5 stars. She was amazing. Good energy, did a great job on my daughter's hair, was able to communicate with her about what she wanted without me having to guide the conversation. But, the OTHER woman that was in there just gave off this nasty energy from the start. Not only that, my toddler and I went nextdoor to the Schnucks to do a small amount of grocery shopping while my daughter was in the chair being cut. My daughter texted me a lot quicker than expected and she ended up waiting for about 20ish min for us to get back over there. Because... shopping with a toddler is a CINCHE. When she called I could tell something was off but she said everything was fine. When I got back to the Great Clips she was waiting and I could just tell something wasn't right. The young lady that cut her hair (tall, skinny, short blondish hair, gorgeous) was super quick to cash us out and we were on our way. Walking to the car my daughter informed me that the other lady (short, older with brown hair) was consistently asking her where I was and why I wasn't there yet. Even though she knew where I went. It made my child VERY uncomfortable and she felt like she wasn't supposed to be there at all. She said she asked her at least 5 times. Why are you asking a child adult questions repeatedly? Why would you want her to feel unwelcome in your store? My shopping absolutely took longer than expected. And I apologized profusely. And she's lucky my kid told me in the car and begged me not to go back in and sit her butt right back down where it needed to be. I would go back to this location again just because of the stylist that was so sweet. But I don't want her negative energy anywhere near me or mines so if she's the only stylist there. I'd leave.

I usually don't review, good, or bad, but I have decided that, after all these years, I will. Many times I have visited this location, as well, as my 5 boys, I have on occasion, had to return, because of, a subpar haircut, but when I found a talented employee, they disappeared. (Why?), With that being said, I want to absolutely give a high 5, to the young woman who, not only took the time to listen, talk and explain, and teach a new comer. Wow KATE! salon #9770, that's what customer service is! Great clips,pay attention, you might lose her.

I literally never write reviews, but I'm ticked.
My son needed a haircut since great clips was near and short wait time I decided to take him. Of course mask are required due to COVID, however my son is autistic and will not wear a mask. I was told they could not wait on us which is a little embarrassing.. I understand that this is a safety measure and I had on my mask, but he is 5 and a lot of places it's 8 and under. I think it's very saddening that Great Clips would not have special circumstances for those with a disability, medical issues, or sensory issues. Shame on them.

At first I was very nervous about going to Great Clips. You always hear the horror stories. Ive been going to a more high end hairdresser for a couple years but the budget no longer allowed- Rebecca who works Thursday nights was really sweet and really listened to what you wanted. She didn't make me feel nervous or uncomfortable at all. I'll definitely be going back just for her.
