Great Clips in Overland Park, KS

They didn't do the best job this time and I got a lady that was a foreigner because she didn't understand what I was trying to say and sounded like she was speaking with an accent. I think they went shorter than I planned. I didn't get the haircut I had gone in to get. It's very tough for me to tell them what to do but this time around she wouldn't listen. I'm lucky that I got her to stop before she shaved it completely off the top.  The first picture is taken 12 hours before I went in. And the second picture is after. Third picture is another view of what I got.
I  gave it three stars instead of one because while this time the lady stunk that gave me the haircut at 1:00 in the afternoon on a Friday. I had a really nice lady twice, unfortunately it's been so long I forgot the name, and she did a better job of listening to me and explaining me that the other hairstylist sometimes don't understand what I'm trying to go for. She worked with me and I don't have a picture of that haircut but it grew out to what you see in the first picture. I'm thinking I may need to go look for a different place other than hitting up Great Clips every time. I'm open to alternatives. I used to do Supercuts before they left.
This time around I think this woman I got had poor customer service. Maybe the guy in the back would have done a better job. I think part of the problem is she's a foreigner. She wasn't friendly at all in some instances. Didn't make sense as to what she was going to do because she did the opposite. She didn't say bye at the end and I felt that was kind of rude. I don't know if that had to do with a tip or not. I wasn't 100% happy with the haircut so why would I tip. But also I feel like the price is going up. And it went up $5 since I used to tip $5 so now I don't generally tip because now it's taking away the same amount I used to do. I have to add this because that may have added to her not being very pleasant again after I paid.
If I did these days it's going to only be $3 at the most because look at it this way you guys are now taking the money I was going to tip for the full charge. I was tipping out of the kindness of my heart not by force. So when I pay with credit card I maybe don't want to pay five bucks how about 3 for a tip. They don't even wash my hair or put moose anymore.

Ladies who cut your hair do an o.k. Job.

But AWFUL customer service.

Example: Saturday, 10:45 a.m. April 8th. They have 21 people on waitlist.

They have 4 employees working. One, I repeat one is actively cutting hair. One on cell phone walking back and forth, acting like her job doesn't matter. Other two are sitting in back laughing and giggling. Can't make this stuff up. Heads up to the manager. May want to have a talk with your Employees.

So I've made two appointments in a week and cancelled both. You use the app to check in and then normally you get there before it gets to 0 minutes. However, on these two occasions, It said 120 mins or thereabouts when I check in. 30-40 mins later it said 150 and 152 minutes!

I had timed my visit to get errands done and be on time. I work 9-5, m-f, like most folks, and scheduling an appt to be respectful of everyone's time is critical.

When I showed up for my appt and checked the app, saw the ridiculous time ADDED instead a countdown, I was furious.

The young woman's reaction was basically "well, that doesn't account for lunches and stuff."
So why even bother to have an app if it is going to be completely unreliable.

Bad service, apparently badly managed business. My family, my friends have all been notified of same.

Go elsewhere if you want to be treated respectfully.

I was struggling to find a place to cut my hair that wasn't outrageous. I settled on running into this salon because I knew it would be quick. I asked for curtain bangs with face framing pieces and some long layers. Dawn (not sure on spelling) did amazing!! I love my hair and will continue to go back to her.

I went in for a hair cut and asked for "light layers" and a "trim." This is what I got. The picture says it all. Absolutely awful and hideous.
