I am very sad to provide this review of the Tanasbourne Great Clips as I had so hoped that my simple request for a refund would be granted, given that twice within a 2-month period, the hair stylist cut my hair badly. Not only was my requested not granted, the salon didn't even care enough to respond to my complaint, even when the Great Clips corporate office contacted the salon owner on my behalf, TWICE.

The 2nd bad haircut I received from Tami at the Tanasbourne Great Clips was the worse of the 2 experiences. Tami neither accepted responsibility for cutting one side of my modified bob 1" shorter than the other side (which was quite noticeable), nor did she apologize. In fact, her attitude from the beginning was one of defensiveness and irritation. When I came back to the salon to have her correct the cut she made, she tried to dismiss the fact that one side was obviously shorter than the other, saying it was "only a 1/4 inch shorter".

After insisting she measure it, then she said it was "only  1/2 inch," which was not true as the left side was a full inch shorter than the right side. And worse, to correct her mistake  meant that the longer side would have to be cut even shorter (which was cut too short during the first bad haircut I received at another Great Clips some weeks before). As a result, I no longer have an A-line bob, as the lengths in the front are now the same length as the back of my hair.

Then a couple of weeks after the last time the corporate office reached out to the salon, Grant Kenagy, the Oregon Director of Operations, sent me an email in which he said:

"While it is our goal to consistently meet our guests' needs, we are all susceptible to human error and issues do arise, which is why we guarantee our services and will work to give you the cut you want. As Nanette and Tami have over 60 years of combined experience in this industry, it might be time to try a different Great Clips location and see if a stylist there would have more success at meeting your needs. Again, I am very sorry that we were unable to give you the haircut you wanted and hope that you will give a stylist at a different location a chance to make it right."

Apparently "guaranteeing their work" does not include refunding the cost of the bad haircut I received. It would seem that "meeting my needs," (a haircut that doesn't end in one side being much shorter than the other) is not something customers can consistently expect when they pay for a haircut. And hoping that I will "give a stylist at a different location a chance to make it right," is passing the responsibility for the bad cut onto to another salon.

So, beware. For a customer to go to the lengths I did to request a refund, and be refused, says a lot. Mr. Kenagy is sadly mistaken if he thinks I will ever set foot into a Great Clips salon again. I've been going to this salon chain for the last 5 years and have had both good and bad haircuts. While I agree with Grant that human errors do occur, until now, the stylist who messed up my haircut has always apologized and refunded my money. But apparently, Great Clips sorely needs the $14.95 I paid for my haircut.  I will tell all my friends and family about this experience and urge you reading this review to think twice about risking a haircut at the Tanasbourne salon. Because if they make a mistake while cutting your hair, don't assume they will acknowledge it or refund your money.

Was in for a haircut to look good for our baby picture due in 2 weeks, but it was successfully screwed by Daniella.

She clipped a huge chunk of hair on my left side in one go !.  when I pointed that out she called her colleague who was just back from a smoke  break (still smelling cigarettes) to blend the other parts in, she blended a bit and handed it back to Daniella to blend the other parts and she again went crazy doing uneven hair cuts.

She later called her manager, who took me over to her seat to work on my hair.  Nobody were apologetic by the way. The manager was singing  karaoke along with the music for an already irritated customer, when I pointed again that it was uneven on the sides, she was rude in telling me that she is taking her extra time to fix things and asks me to be nice !!!. how rude!

Daniella and the other stylist were hiding behind while I paid my bill, nobody apologized not even the manager !.  I've been a customer of great clips for a while now (check the records) and these 3 people and very new, very bad experience. will never come back !. 

If you wish to go, try this place for Halloween to look ugly or spooky! And never choose Daniella.

Janet was a lovely woman and gave my daughter a wonderful trim. We had checked several places and found everywhere there was about an hour wait but Janet said she could work us into the schedule. Sure enough, we only waited 30 minutes ( an eternity for an 8-yr old) and she did a great job with her hair.  We will return to book with Janet again.

Rude service!!! It was morning and I decided to get my sons haircut while we were in the plaza, saw customers already in there so walked in and the rude lady behind the counter looked at me and said "we aren't open yet" it was 8:58 (sign said they open at 9am) Since for some reason they refused our service with the door open and customers inside, we went somewhere else and will never attempt at returning. Wouldn't want to risk my sons hair w/ a cranky employee who doesn't want to be there!

Most of the time that I come her I have a positive experience and get good haircuts, they use tools that are always disinfected. the place is kind of dirty with hair and wrappers under the counter where you pay and the floor here is always littered with hair.
