Great Clips in Hillsboro, OR

Denise was my stylist and she cut my hair exactly to my preference. She deserves stylist of the month!

I've came here a couple times for a trim for my curly hair and I think it is quite decent. I would not necessarily trust some of the staff for a super intricate curly hair cut (one of the cuts I've gotten was longer on one side than the other) but for something basic it is good. Compared to some salons I've been to, the price is great ($20 plus tip) and I love that you can drop in and/or pre check in.

Went in for a quick trim. Super quick, I was able to make my appointment and check in online. When I got there, they were ready and got to work.

Great service during COVID-19. The  salon just opened Monday and we came on a Sunday. Friendly staff, everyone was wearing masks, customers, too. Only allowed three in the stylists chairs and one chair inside for waiting. All the other chairs were outside where people waited. We checked in online and checked again at the store. One star lost because we were quoted 35 minutes online and got to the store at 30 minutes and were 9th in line and had to wait 30 more minutes. There's something wrong with the online system.

However, the stylist was very kind, had my child's haircut notes in the computer and made the cut really fast and great!

Post-Covid-19 Haircut Reality

This is a post-Covid-19 re-opening review of the Great Clips on Baseline so people know what to expect (and how to act) when they get here. I love this store and have been going there for years. OK, first you will need a mask because that's the rule. Your stylist is wearing one and you should too. Next, there is only social distance seating for about 3 people inside so you may need to wait outside to be called. They put some chairs outside so just enjoy your phone while you wait. I strongly recommend you install their app on your phone so you can check in on-line. It will give you an estimate of the wait time. Please know they are required to have your contact information on-file in the event of an outbreak (contact tracing) so the easiest way is to register and check in on-line. Also, if you just walk in you may get bumped by an on-line check in so get on the app! That said, avoid weekends and check the app frequently for wait times. Oh, and I've never had a bad haircut here. They keep your preferences on file and your stylist knows what you like without even asking. This is a very well run store, but please be patient and kind! I witnessed two short tempered customers in the time I was there for simple inconveniences. Appreciate your stylist for coming to work and tip appropriately.
