Great Clips in Berkley, MI

Worst experience getting a hair cut in my life.The woman who cut my hair was curt and surly also pre occupied with phone calls on her personal phone.The haircut was marginal at best.The woman who cut my hair is white and wore glasses.My visit was December 12th about 4:30 I'm 77 years old and am not used to being treated in this manner.

We checked my mom in online, she was #1 on the waitlist, but each stylist took the male customers first (one of them walked in the door first since my mom uses a walker and moves slowly.) The other one walked in after us but they still cut him first. Both stylists seemed to take their time, keeping an eye on the other one, so they wouldn't be done first. Each of them didn't want to be the one who had to cut my moms hair. Not sure we'll be back to this location.

My haircut and wait time were fine. The customer service at checkout was hideous. The same stylist who cut my hair handled the checkout , and was not happy with the tip I was going to give her, grumbling outloud how she gave me a beautiful haircut and this was all the tip she was getting, and cursing. I explained I didn't have more small bills and asked if she could give me change. I then gave her a more generous tip, but definitely felt bullied into it. Her rude behavior insures that I will not return to this location.

Do not go. November 17th at 6:10 p.m.. Because I had a little trouble getting here, the hair dresser (older lady) proceeded to admonish me on how it was unfair to others to be in the computer longer than 15 minutes. As an individual, I do not expect this. As a POC, and a minirity I'm apalled. I do not come to the hair dresser to be schooled in etiquette. I expect to be treated fairly. If she needed to remove me from the computer, that's fine. Telling me it was unfair tells me she did not want my business. My English was fine. I offered to come back another time. I also apologized. She kept going on. At which point I left. I do not want to have my hair cut where I am seen as an intrusion and not a source of the hair stylists livelihood. I've never been so chastized in front of other customers like this in my life. Just this Great Clips. I've always had good experiences at other Great Clips. P.s. only 4 people on the waiting list and only 1 customer (father+son) waiting.
