Glamour Nail Salon in Birmingham, MI

Two stars for the standard pedicure I received w/limited color options. That's being charitable. I also stopped in to get one nail repaired that had cracked between manis at my usual place. They don't have dip, so I guess she just glued it and repainted it? Whatever she did cost me $5 (normal price for a single nail repair w/gel polish - no problem here) and lasted about 2 hours (problem!). That sucked, but my main gripe with this place is that the employees are constantly talking amongst themselves while they perform the services. Yes, I know this is common at many nail salons, but why? Like, what other similar service would you expect/accept this behavior from the employees? It's rude, inappropriate, and the antithesis to a relaxing environment. Try Essential Nail Bar downtown. They focus on YOU and providing a professional and relaxing experience. It's more expensive, but worth every penny. I leave feeling relaxed and pampered (as one should) not anxious and as if I've inconvenienced the techs who are constantly in the middle of a conversation (like I'm not even there). If you're gonna treat yourself, treat yourself right. It's ok to have an expectation of good service and you'll find it elsewhere.

Love this place... ! If you are not into artificial nails, but still you like to get a proper mani / pedi this is the best place to go with super friendly staff and cozy environment. It is a little Gem in Birmingham.

The ladies are rude and speak Thai behind your back to customers that have been loyal to throughout the years and if you do not pay a cash tip they will refuse your service. Try Birmingham 07 nails for excellent service!

I am extremely disappointed by my experience here. I left with horrible anxiety and feeling like a second class citizen. I called ahead to see if i could get my nails soaked off and shellac put on. When i arrived they were nice and put foils on me. I had a feeling they didn't understand what i wanted so i let them know i have overlay and want that removed and a shellac mani. Well they obviously don't have drills there and i had no knowledge of that going there. So instead of just letting me know they don't have the equipment to accommodate me they were yelling across the salon to each other about me. The woman doing my nails was so annoyed and she was not keeping that a secret. I felt so uncomfortable and embarrassed i wanted to cry. All you had to do was communicate with me and i would have happily left and gone elsewhere. Instead i left so upset. Your nail salon is in Birmingham Michigan, people have high standards. Treat people with respect, you are giving a service. It should never have come to this. I am upset i even have to write a review because that's not who i am but i felt this should be told and they should be disappointed in how they treated me. I took the foils off myself and went somewhere else. Absolutely horrible!! I paid $10 for what??? I even tipped her $5 cause I'm an idiot!!!!
