G Squared Salon in Portland, OR

I enthusiastically recommend this Salon, both Kevin and Matt are experienced and off the charts highly skilled stylists. I have thick, part curly frizzy & greying hair. I've been to at least a hundred salons on the east and west coasts so when I find a place that has this level of talent, I believe I should share my experiences with others.

My hair has been challenging to many stylists, I've had my fair share of awful cuts and coloring, and Matt was able to turn an absolutely horrific cut where I looked like I took garden shears to hack off random pieces of hair in the dark -- I wish I was exaggerating the horror but I'm downplaying it. I left with an adorable style that I would have picked had I thought my hair would cooperate, it did! and I have a cool summer cut.

I will also be doing a Brazilian blow out ( one of Kevin's specialties) This will be the cherry on top of my cut and beautiful balayage. My hair will defy it's genetics and  become sleek and inexplicably manageable

G2 Salon is a gem!

I made an appointment online, confirmed it, and I got a confirmation text but when I showed up there was no one there? Lights off, doors locked. I tried to call the number but all I got was a voicemail. Luckily I was able to get an afternoon appointment somewhere else.

Kevin is seriously so AMAZING!!! He literally gave me the best haircut of my life!!!! I recently was ripped off and given a terrible haircut that needed to be fixed and he listened to my wants and concerns and was so sweet! He is the absolute best so if you're looking for the best, go to Kevin.

Kevin is amazing!!! I got the Japzilian and haircut and he was extremely thorough. I'm very picky with my hair and he takes pride in making your hair goals happen. He's also fun to talk to.

As many have said, Kevin as amazing. Definitely worth a trip into town. I have stubborn curly/frizzy hair and his Japanese straightening/Brazilian blowout combo gets it pin straight and smooth as silk. I've gone to many salons around the country and haven't found anyone better. Plus, he's fun to chat with :)
