Fantastic Sams Cut & Color in Tonawanda, NY

I was desperate for a quick trim and made the bad decision to get some highlights put in too. Trim is fine. My stylist put so much color on each highlight it pulled the foils down at least an inch away from my roots. This created harsh lines all over my head. I addressed it with the stylist and she said it's normal. She then repainted a few of the highlights to "fix" the harsh lines. This made no difference at all but I just wanted to get out of there and I don't think she was capable of knowing how to fix it. I've had my hair highlighted for 20 years and know that this isn't normal. Ugh I'm so mad at myself for giving this place a chance. The age old saying "you get what you pay" definitely applies here. Absolutely will not be going back and do not recommend. Side note- this sweet lady next to next got her hair permed. Her stylist then blew out her hair straight. I'm so confused right now. Why do I feel like I know more than the people who were getting paid to do hair . that's really not good.

This is my go to place for a quick easy haircut. The ladies here do a great job and it's pretty cheap. $16 for a shampoo and cut. Of course this is only for a haircut and they do not blow dry or style it. Which is fine by me. I stopped in today for a trim and was in and out in like 15-20 mins. This location did recently move to NFblvd from the Sheridan drive plaza

3 and a half stars. This is one of the Fantastic Sam's that's pretty consistent. I've been here twice, it's always a lite scary because just like Super Cuts you never know what to expect. Both times I've been here I've been helped by a different person. They were both pretty competent though. I was looking for a retouch on a previous cut I had from a salon and they were able to do it. I've been here on a Friday and a Tuesday neither time had to wait more than a minute. Maybe that's because it's in a plaza that basically empty.

The lovely Betty departed Fantastic Sams some time ago & the fabulous Danielle has been triaging my tonsorial tragedies for a few months. She assured me she is staying put. The lady knows how to cut hair, & is a good stylist as well. The salon is open 7 days a week, plenty of parking in Northtown Plaza, & has a 'no appointment' policy. Haircuts are $13 (such a deal!), with shampoo Included. They also offer facial waxing. 20% discount for Veterans, & they accept coupons from OTHER salons/chains. Friendly, effecient service, a good haircut at a happy price.
