Fancy Wave Beauty Salon in Queens, NY

Love this place, been going for a year. The barber/stylist Derrick has been my main man. Perfect fades, 10/10 service and super kind and accommodating. The place is always welcoming. For the price of the cut, it's definitely a bargain.

I highly recommend Fancy Wave - I've been coming here on and off for years and am always the happiest with my hair cut after coming here. Ken cut my hair today and I loved it! He listens to what you want and always does great work.

Been going here off and on for like 10 years, since my regular guy moved away. Staff are welcoming, nice, and straight to the point without unnecessary fawning. Their shampoo head massage is always great! Ken cuts my hair every time, he's agreeable, fast, and most importantly always registers what I ask for and does it. My sister always comes with me and sees different stylists and her hair looks impeccable after. Stylists always give the extra effort and will do a blow out or waves at the end, without asking. Never been unhappy or felt treated rudely here, which is saying something for Flushing. Still one of the best options by Main St.!

I've been going here for at least 12+ years since I was little. Kent is the man to go to. He wastes no time when it comes to his work. Any requests that I have when it comes to hairstyles or even dyeing my hair, he always comes through. Kent cuts very efficiently and always double checks at the end of a cut to see how else he can improve the look. Feel free to give him any suggestions you might want and he'll give his input on how to make what you want, look best. The salon is very clean and has an updated look with nice music. The staff are very friendly and give out good vibes. If you want to get your hair dyed, you can get any color you want. They have multiple books of different colors and shades that you can think of. Basically, anything you want from the rainbow they can put on your hair lol.

Long time customer of Fancy Wave and Derrick. Derrick gives good cuts and takes time to make sure your cuts are what you wanted. The environment is good and the hair wash ladies are nice. The location is good and right by the 7 train and he's happy to stay later if you are going to be there later in the evening and he's happy to stay open. The other barbers are good as well and competent. I recommend checking it out!
