Famous Nails & Spa in Golden Valley, MN

Love the employees and the work they do. In 10-15 years I have never had a bad experience here and always happy with my nails. Shout out to Anna and Helen....my personal favorites they both go above and beyond in particular for seniors.

Went in for a fill and the nail tech (assuming she actually has a license), was EXTREMELY rough and cut me in several places with the file and nail dremmel. This never happens at my regular place but I had to drop my dog off at vet and Famous nails is next door. She charged me full price to cut my hands up and leave me in pain. I think she fabricated some of the prices too, I paid 78$ total, this is outrageous!! I'm not done either, I went in to get 3 nails fixed that broke off (she didn't put bond aid on) and they were very rude and made me wait an hour to get them fixed. I was getting upset and I kept asking them when they would get to me,I had an interview right after. One of the other nail techs was talking about me and told the person fixing my nails that I should f**k off. Unbelievably horrible experience both occasions and never again!! I would not recommend my worst enemy to go here.

follow up on my July 1 review. After I had the gel literally grinded off my nails (after I had asked repeatedly for it to be soaked off), I have horizontal and vertical tears in pretty much 60% of my nails. Go to Twin City Nails in St. Louis Park. They take their time and listen to their clients. I will not be going back again, even for a lame pedicure in a pinch.

I spent $40 on a gel manicure and 5 days later I had multiple nails with chips and cracking. I came in to have it addressed and they charged me $10 to remove the old polish! A facility that does not make it right for a client does not get my business. I won't be back.

Terrible quality. I got a dip powder manicure and just over 24 hours later, I noticed one nails dip powder chipped off and another cracked. I went back and asked them to fix the one chipped nail and was told by the technician that she hated doing dip because it takes so long etc. Then she started making comments of how my nail bed shape was stating that the dip powder looked thick on them (mind you, another technician did my nails at this salon one day prior). Got the nail "fixed" and now three days later, another nail just chipped while I was typing on my laptop for work. Worst quality product. No other explanation for why the dip would chip off so quickly doing nothing drastic with my hands. Typing on my computer or vacuuming should not result in multiple chipped or cracked nails in such a short amount of time.
