Selecting a beauty salon is a combination of personal preferences and practical considerations. When searching, look into aspects such as the range of services offered, staff expertise, customer reviews, salon cleanliness, and overall ambiance. Personal recommendations from friends or family can be very helpful. It's also a good idea to visit the salon or have a consultation to get a firsthand feel for the environment and services.
In Evanston, the price of beauty treatments varies greatly, from $25 to $200 or more. The cost of beauty treatments can greatly vary depending on the salon's reputation, and the specific service in question. For specific pricing, it's recommended to check local beauty salon menus or reach out directly for quotations.
While facials, waxing, and eyebrow services consistently remain in demand, the latest trends can shift. Beauty trends and preferred services can change over time and might vary by region. For current trends in Evanston, consider consulting with local beauty salons or following regional beauty bloggers and influencers.

Many beauty salons experience peak traffic on weekends, especially on Saturday mornings and afternoons. Weekday evenings can also be particularly busy as clients tend to schedule post-work appointments. Booking in advance is always advised, but if you're seeking a less bustling environment, you can inquire with Ergo Salon & Spa about their quieter hours.
Rude and Unprofessional I had my hair cut with Ken after work. I have showed him two pictures, one with how I wanted my fringe to look like, one with how I wanted with the length. The whole conversation went on for less than two mins, pretty simple and straight forward. When Ken started working on my hair, I asked if he is going to cut it the way we had talked about (just trying to get some confirmation). He stopped and LOUDLY replied "You said you wanted it this way, right? MAKE UP YOUR MIND!!! You showed me 3 pics, you want it this way, you want it that way, now which way do you want??!!!" I was really taken back as I was never picky with my hair, therefore never expecting him to be this rude and make a WHOLE scene out of my ONLY question. The other hairdresser and her costumer were also looking over. It made me felt really uncomfortable. After Ken went back with cutting, I asked him "what three pics you said I showed you? I believe there was only two." Ken couldn't recall the "third pic", while barely describing the style of my only two pics. Unhygienic The hairbrushes Ken used on my hair were both covered and tangled with curly Blond/Brunette hair from previous customers. There were also many other improper things happened during the service. E.g. Ken telling me to OPEN MY EYES when he was spraying and "teaching" me how to style my hair. No, I DIDN'T ask him to teach me. As well as not being bothered to block the water for my ears during the hair wash, so my ears were literally filled with water. I won't go into details here for the sake of space. I still thanked him in the end and tipped, only because that's the decent thing to do. But I won't be wasting any more money or my time here at Ergo. If you are under the age of 40, care about hygiene and don't want to get patronized or treated with condescension, please consider spend your money somewhere else. I don't believe they will treat a middle-aged woman the same way they treated me. it's a shame because everyone deserves respect no matter what, especially your paying customers.
I've been a long-time customer. Talented stylists, great service, affordable, always clean. Plus super friendly. Plus I'd give them an extra star, if it was possible, for how they handled COVID at its peak.
Reyna was amazing. This is the first time I have walked away LOVING both the cut and color. Can't recommend enough.
Amazing service and blow dry by Rayna!!! She is incredible!!! Highly recommend her. Has years of experience and listens to what you ask her to do.!!!
I had a amazing pedicure. I called and left a message this morning. They quickly texted me back and scheduled me for this afternoon. They gave me hand sanitizer and took my temperature when I came in. Inside there was distancing and barriers in place. My pedicure was amazing. She was even able to fit a polish change for my nails into my appointment time too.
