I decided to try out epic salon to change things up. Prior to my visit I hadn't really heard much about them at all. I drive by their salon often and the parking lot never seems to have more than two or three cars at a time, even pre-pandemic. Upon arrival a very nice woman open the door for me before I even got to it. Masked with a shield at the front desk. I was directed to my chair and met with a stylist. It turned out that stylist was not the one I was set to have. However I will say she was extremely friendly well masked and seem to have a great personality. After switching chairs my stylist came in the room. As she walked closer I realized she was wearing a piece of lease over her face instead of an actual face mask. At this point I was really pissed off but I was already in the chair and I didn't wanna make a big deal about it. I'm a very talkative person so it was hard not to converse. Stacy was very friendly and she gave a good haircut. but I was extremely uncomfortable the entire time. It's highly frustrating that a business would allow this. The fact that we are trying to get out of a global pandemic and you cannot muster the strength to be a good human is beyond me. Wearing a mask that is not a mask but in fact a piece of lace that every single air and moisture molecule can fly out of your mouth when in close proximity to your client is sickening. It shows that you are nothing but ignorant selfish unaware and uneducated. It's really sad and pathetic.
The women at Epic Salon give 5 star service for everything from hair coloring/cuts, waxing, facials, manicures etc. The women are warm, funny and very knowledgeable in their specific fields of expertise. Whether you are staying at Bay Harbor, live in Petoskey or just summering in Harbor Springs....the friendly women of Epic Spa will be more than happy to take care of any beauty needs you might want.
Besides Stacey's excellent haircuts, my favorite thing about Epic is how comfortable the neck pad is while getting your hair washed. I also appreciate the easy parking and the email reminders. Very reasonable prices, too.
