Not again! Always used to love the at TC, so thought i would take a chance. Never even think of ordering -Georgina's curry special, disaster!
I would give this zero stars if I could. We originally were planning on eating at Bar Harbor. They were extremely busy and we had 19 month old twins who were very hungry and as Bar Harbor had no high chairs we decided that maybe we should go elsewhere. We ended up going to Georgino's which was a HUGE mistake. Service was the worst I've had. Food was terrible. I ordered a hamburger which was way over cooked and had zero flavor. We had to chase down our waitress to ask for both refills on drinks and for our bill. After receiving bill we immediately gave waitress our credit card as babies were getting restless. After another 10 minutes I walked up to Bar to ask them to run my card so we could leave. This experience was bad enough I will never return and would recommend others to steer clear of this restaurant as there are many great place to eat in Harbor Springs.
I have had nothing but a good experience at Georgina's. Both in Traverse City and now Harbor Springs. Anthony loves and cares very much about what he does. This is a true Latin Asian taquería. Having been born to a Cuban Father and part Chinese Mother in Nicaragua. He is a true fusion chef. Try the Spanish Calamari, Wagyu Beef, and Black Bean Avocado apps. They are delicious. Salmon Taco is wonderful and is good cold as well. Prefer to sit outside, weather permitting or at the bar where Karessa Willman is bent on making you happy with whatever cocktail you order. Had the Cucumber Jalepeño Margarita made with the freshest muddled ingredients and organic agave. Asked for tart and Karessa delivered the most heavenly Margarita I have ever had. My experience with all the staff has been very friendly, attentive and polite. May have to do with going in the more off season? The growing pains of a new restaurant particularly in the Northern reaches I am confident are huge but I think the kinks are largely worked through now. Welcome Anthony! We are fortunate to have you in Harbor.
Food had a good flavor however mine and my wife's which were different were loaded with onions and very little else. It has an unusual menu of Asian and South American. VERY expensive and not worth the money. Very noisy. We would not recommend this restaurant. There other places in town that are better.
