Emily & Friends Salon in Fremont, CA

I went here to get a digital perm done by Qingyang, which I had booked on the website. When I got there, I was greeted by Qingyang but then I was sat down in a different stylists chair. I was slightly put off by this, but I had seen all the good reviews and decided that I should go through with it despite my reservation not being honored. Before we started, I made sure to show my stylist many pictures of the type of perm I wanted, and made sure to tell him that I wanted it to be wavy. He agreed, but when we started I noticed that he was setting me up for a cold perm instead of a digital perm. I clarified this to him, and he told me that my hair wasn't long enough for a digital perm (although I had been growing it out), and that he had switched to cold perm out of concern for the health of my hair. I was a little frustrated because he had switched without letting me know, because I had been searching for a salon that would be able to give me a digital perm because I'd be leaving to go somewhere for a while in a few weeks and wanted my style to last the entire time I was away, but because we were already too far into the process, I told him to continue. Apon washing out the solution, he realized that my hair didn't seem as curly as it should. So he sat me back down in the chair and started up another perm. (Thinking back I realize that then we must've achieved the result I wanted, and that my hair was probably being weighed down by water so we couldn't see the waves.) This time, he gave me a digital perm, which confused me because my hair was apparently not long enough and it would probably be even worse for my hairs health. I asked him if a second perm would kill my hair and he said no, so I continued the process. After washing out the second perm my hair was much too curly. It was nowhere near what I had requested, and on top of that it was completely dead. I am rating this business two stars instead of one because my stylist knew he had messed up and only charged me for the first, cheaper perm. I would not recommend going here, even if you're not getting a perm, simply because it is obvious that they do not honor reservations and are willing to pass you over to a stylist who has little experience doing the treatments requested.

So disappointed! I request to washing and dryer my hair without cut. The hair stylish was careless taking care of my hair and I felt I do better than him by myself at home. I visited there long time ago and very talented stylish has gone. Now, I know why that happened. I will not go to there again！

Come here once every month to color my hair. Emily is the owner/ professional hair stylist. They have many professional stylus work there. It is a great place to come for your hair treatment or style.

This salon cares less on haircuts service but hair color and others which makes more money. My appointment with Emily was accepted, however they asked someone else to take care of me. Very unprofessional, will not come back
