I get my nails done all the time, but today I left with uneven and wide acrylic nails. Further, the service was horrible. I had my fingers cut open twice, once of which then he applied something that was beyond painful and left me almost passing out. I won't be returning this salon anytime soon.
My friend and I had appointments to get pedicures on a Saturday. My friend got gel nails and I opted for regular polish. It was a lot of pressure to get gel nails, which I just wasn't interested in that day. Not a lot of communication happened. It was awkward and I couldn't understand what angles they wanted my my feet at times. They also had some polish on my toes that didn't quite get removed, so it definitely looked a little sloppy. Overall I was disappointed with mine. However, I will say my friend's gel nails looked fabulous and she seemed to enjoy her pedi more than I did mine. When it was time to check out, they kept asking us if we had cash. We did not realize they preferred cash, so I asked if we could add the tip to a card. It was a bit of a strange interaction then, and as a heads up, they do add $2 charge for using a card. Overall, the experience wasn't bad; just a little awkward. I would consider coming back if I wanted gel nails. And next time I will definitely bring cash.
