Deluxe Nail Spa in Cary, NC

I've been to this salon multiple times. My best friend loved this salon for years. I chose them for a gel manicure & regular pedicure before a Christmas party. My nail tech was a little much. She tried to get me to go with a gel polish on my toes. When I said no thank you, she told me "it won't get messed up when you put your shoes on like regular polish." I said, "that's alright, I'll stick with regular polish." I wanted a red color on my toes, but she only gave me the gel colors. I said "the closest thing I see on this is this burgundy one." Instead of offering to find me a red she just went with the burgundy. Whatever. The burgundy was fine & pretty, just not what I originally asked for. I ended up liking the color just fine. The nail techs customer service skills were just not the best in my opinion.

When getting my manicure she said "you have a lot of cuticles, when was the last time you had a manicure?" I told her that it had been a while since my last manicure. She then questioned why it had been so long. I told her that I had a child and could not come in as often as I used to. It just felt judgy. She finished my manicure and it was fine, however the next day I woke up to find that the gel polish was lifting up at the tips of my fingernails. They had only lasted about 18 hours. I was upset as I paid $37 + tip and it lasted 1 night!

I called & spoke with someone over the phone (I think it was the owner) who apologized & told me to come in & they'd fix it, so I went back in. When I walked in the door the nail tech that had done my nails began staring at me. I'm certain she knew why I was back (all my information from the day was stored in the computer tied to my name and number). I told the lady behind the counter (possibly the other owner) why I was there. She looked surprised by the fact my polish was already lifting. She was asking me questions about when I was there the day before, etc & the nail tech from the day before interrupted her & told me to come sit & she'd fix it. Although, I will say she had an attitude like I was wasting her time. The lady that had been sitting behind the counter came over and asked to see my nails again. I showed them to her & she said something in her language to the nail tech that had done my nails. The nail tech then looked at my nails & said something back to her. They proceeded to have a very loud discussion in their language, however they continued to say cuticle in English. Causing me to think they were talking about me. They kept coming back asking to see my nails throughout their discussion. This continued for a while. When the nail tech was ready to fix my nails, I asked how much they were going to charge me to fix them. She said she was just going to file them so I didn't have to pay. Just my opinion, but they should've offered to completely redo them for free. She then said "remember, yesterday you had a lot of cuticles on your nails, so that is probably why it's already peeling." I said "they're peeling up from the tips, what does that have to do with the cuticles?" She then said "you must clean & wash your hands a lot, right?" To which I said "I left here yesterday afternoon & went to a party. I then went home and went to sleep. My nails didn't last 18 hours before peeling up. The majority of that time was spent sleeping." It was obvious she was trying to blame me instead of just saying she was sorry & trying to fix it. She filed & applied another coat of gel to my nails. I was not charged, however when I left I could still see where the gel wasn't completely sealed to my nail on the bottom-most layer. Needless to say I woke up to the same issue of my gel polish peeling at the tips the next day. I hate I wasted my money. I will not be back to this salon.

I truly enjoy my experience each visit at Deluxe Nail Spa.  Alejandra is an amazing nail tech.  She values the customers experience and make sure you are happy with your visit.  I enjoy chatting with the owner John, he is so caring and makes you feel welcomed.  Booking my next appointment now!

Just recently started going to this place and its great. Ale is my nail tech and she always does an amazing job. The shop is really nice and they offer beverages while you're waiting and/or being served. Definitely recommend.

I would leave no stars if I could! Went to this establishment for a change of color after having a pedicure just 2 weeks prior. First of all it cost me $20 to change the color and to add insult to injury, the nail polish was cheap. I went on vacation for 4 days and the polish literally melters off my toes. I went to see if they would polish my toes again and was told that they do not guarantee their work. Thanks John, I will NEVER return to this establishment.

$107 for JUST nails and I was there for 2 HOURS - didn't ask for ombré $20 upcharge - asked for rounded nails $6 shape charge - prices keep increasing and you'll be there for HOURS
