Dandelion Salon in Nashville, TN

I had gone to this place a few times for a cut and a few times for color. The appointments I had for a cut were wonderful; so I decided to trust them with color as well. I saw one colorist and she did a wonderful highlight base but our schedules weren't compatible so I had to seek elsewhere. After another session elsewhere I decided to come back to Dandelion. Due to their busy schedule, I had to hold off on treatments. I figured it's better to pay more and receive quality color than try to save $ somewhere. The only person available for an appointment ended up being someone who's only been doing hair for 1.5 years. I trusted him and sat in the chair twice where he painstaking did highlights for 4-5 hours at a time. Unfortunately, both times my hair came out more yellow with streaks of orange. The more I tried to communicate about it, the more I was told to keep returning and keep paying over 300$ per session. Mind you, I'd had blonde hair before so I know what my hair is capable of. After the last session, I came home in tears. I am Ukrainian, and it's been a long year and I just wanted a little bit of joy. I'm also a high school teacher and wanted to do something nice for myself for the holidays, but I'd spent over 600$ just to be neither brunette nor blonde, with random streaks of color all over. When I called and calmly explained the situation, the manager, after lecturing me about my own hair, refunded me 80$. That's about how much I tipped for the two sessions. Now I have damaged hair and no money. Please be careful when choosing to book with them. They do not train their new staff well and do not have your best interest in mind.

Just had a terrible customer service experience here and will not be returning, I just found out I have to be out of town for a work trip and called to reschedule my appointment, I've been a long time customer and the woman was incredibly rude on the phone and since I called AN HOUR late into 24 hours before the service she refused to wave to 50% fee for me to reschedule which is ridiculous. I'm very disappointed and will not be returning to this salon, you should treat your customers with a little more respect.

I cannot recommend this place enough. I'm a natural blonde and struggle to find hair stylists who don't think lightening up my natural color means silver highlights. Shanon listened to me and made my hair look amazing! She lightened up my natural color without it looking ashy or grey. The salon itself is clean, cute, and in a not too crowded part of town.

I came here to get a bad haircut fixed. Ally was fantastic! She walked me through exactly what she needed to do to fix my hair. She was honest about expectations. I can't wait for my hair to grow out and come back to dye it! Thank you Ally!

Shannon was amazing! She immediately knew exactly what I wanted and laid out a clear plan to get there. The salon was so cute, the staff was friendly, and the music was bomb. Can't wait for my next appointment!
